    • Book of Moon effectively "resets" the monsters battle position to face-down defense and all cards that are face down are generally considered to be unknown, so an unknown card can't have it's effect applied now can it. A good example would be: you opponent's face-up Jinzo will negate the ativation of you facedown traps (though it won't prevent you from setting cards) if you were to activate Book of Moon targeting Jinzo; once the effect of Book of Moon has been succesfully resolved Jinzo will be face-down and you now be free to activate your face-down traps until Jinzo is either flipped or flip summoned face-up DaywalkerAA 14:11, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
That only works against Continuous Effects, and effects like that of "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress" which require the monster to remain face-up on the field. Most effects which start Chain Links do not require the monster to remain face-up on the field, so if you Chain "Book of Moon" to that effect, then the effect still resolves properly. For example, if you Chain "Book of Moon" to the effect of "Dark Armed Dragon", then the effect of "Dark Armed Dragon" still resolves properly. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 20:42, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
