Hello everyone.
I recently had a couple ideas with Black Garden, and made my Plant Deck's main strategy revolve around it.
I played against my friend the other day, and he claimed that Black Garden's Tokens can be tributed. He did so, and I eventually lost. Afterwards, I did a bit of research on Black Garden, and found no rulings that they can or cannot be used as tribute material. I know they can be used as Synchro Material, but that seems obvious, since we all have Synchros now.
So, can they or can they not be tributed? And if they do, will I have to remodel my Plant Deck?

Only because scapegoat tokens cannot be tributed does not mean any other token cannot be tributed either. Black Garden tokens can be tributed for anything, including Monarchs and Crush Card Virus. War Pigg 08:44, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Correct. Tokens are monsters, essentially. Unless if they have an added restriction, the same rules that apply to monsters in general apply to tokens as well, with the general exception of excluding them from the game if they are removed from the field or flipped face-down. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 11:08, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Monster Tokens cannot be face-down, so they cannot be flipped by a card's effect. If a card such Swords of Concealing Light is activated, any token will only be changed to Defense mode. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 04:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
