I always get confused with these 'negate effects' and 'tribue so it's not on the field so the effect works' things, so..
Field: Neo Space
Grave: Chrysalis Mole
Q: I summon Junk Synchron & Revive Chrysalis Mole, am I correct in assuming I "can't" use the effect of mole to summon mole? even though it would be off the field at the point when it would resolve.

You can activate the effect and Tribute Chrysalis Mole, but the effect will then be negated. (I'm basing this on what happens when you Special Summon Lonefire Blossom with Debris Dragon.) This is because unlike Skill Drain, Junk Synchron only says "That monster's effect(s) is negated."
- Basically, that card negates the Effects of cards that Activate on the Field. and continuous Effects. Falzar FZ 11:28, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
Well... Mole tributes itself as a cost to activate it's effect so it resolves in graveyard... isn't it? Neos lover 12:57, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Technically, the effect will activate and resolve on the Field. That still happens even if the card is tributed as the cost and is in the Grave.
- Junk Synchron only cares about the Effect, as long as the effect is on the Field, it negates it, it doesn't care about the card. Falzar FZ 13:02, February 16, 2010 (UTC)
