"Colossal Fighter" is almost impossible to destroy, because my friend uses its special effect to special summon itself to the field again, in defense mode, thus it is almost a loop. Unless I have a spell or trap card to destroy it, we end up wasting a lot of time just drawing cards and ending our turns.

What do you think about this card's ruling? I wish it were included in the list at the main website.

  • I think your friend may be cheating, but if he is not, remove it from play. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 23:56, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
  • With a card effect? I ended up adding a couple Lightning Vortex cards to my deck, because it got annoying. As an alternative, I used Creature Swap, Soitsu in attack mode, and Mist Body, since he is big on defenses. After that, I only have to worry about him doing a tribute. XD That aside, I am waiting on Konami/Upper Deck's update on card rulings to see if it will be included. 55.55.555.55 00:51, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't work like that. Card says when 'sent to the Graveyard', which means its not in the Graveyard yet, so it can't summon itself... Same with Lumina in Lightsworn, she can't discard to summon the card discarded because its not in the graveyard yet.

Actually you can summon the same monster discarded by Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner's effect because discarding is a cost.Skavinger 02:57, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

  • How exactly can he summon himself?

I tried doing it today but my friend wouldn't let me, and I could find any good reasoning in the card text to support it. Please help. ><Goku9821 01:48, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

  • There is something to support it - the card itself. It says when it's destroyed by battle Special Summon 1 Warrior monster from either player's Graveyard. Colossal Fighter is a Warrior, so it can summon itself. Why wouldn't it? Danny Lilithborne 04:54, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Ruling

There has to be another C Fighter in his graveyard for that to work but anyway, infinite loops are not allowed, which in this case, it is.

Uh, guys? UDE already said that you can do it. And it's not an infinite loop, since it fully resolves. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 22:11, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

read the card???

i have a c fighter...and his effect ativates when he is in the grave yard which means he can bring himself back... now i know your like WTF!!!! but thats only if its destroyed by battle...you can use things such as trap hole or lighting vortex and then he can't bring himself back...so its not against the rules bkuz its not an infinate combo you can beat it quite easily so the ruling is yes he CAN bring himself back if destroyed by ~>BATTLE<~ Gorilla Skillz
