Hey There! This is my first post in the forum, I was hoping to get some help. You see, Just recently I built a Crystal beast deck and so far, it's pretty ok, if people go easy on it. Now I know, the beasts aren't exactly an aggressive archetype, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows how to edit this deck to make it a little bit stronger. Thanks in advance!

The Deck

Monsters (23)

  • Rainbow Dragon x1
  • Hamon Lord of Striking Thunder x1
  • Magna-Slash Dragon x1
  • Gravi-Crush Dragon x1
  • Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger x1
  • Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle x2
  • Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle x2
  • Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise x3
  • Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus x1
  • Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth x2
  • Crystal Beast Sapphire Cat x2
  • Seismic Crasher x1
  • Dweller in the depths x3
  • Cats Ear Tribe x2

Spells (16)

  • Ancient City Rainbow Ruins x3
  • Axe of Despair x1
  • Crystal Promise x2
  • Crystal Abundance x3
  • Crystal Beacon x3
  • Crystal Blessing x2
  • Terraforming x2

Traps (6)

  • Rainbow Gravity x2
  • Rainbow path x1
  • Crystal Pair x1
  • Torrential Tribute x1
  • Crystal Raigeki x1

And that's the deck. I'm open to suggestions.

Fixes

  • I have had extensive experience with Crystal Beasts, and own a very potent CB deck. I can give you the following advice:
-1 Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder
-1 Magna-Slash Dragon
-1 Gravi-Crush Dragon
-1 Seismic Crasher
-1 Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle
-1 Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
-2 Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise
-3 Dweller in the Depths
-2 Cat's Ear Tribe
-1 Axe of Despair
-1 Terraforming
-1 Crystal Blessing
-6 Traps (All of them).
-------------------------- Total: -22 cards.
  • Then add:
+2 Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus
+2 Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger
+1 Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth
+1 Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat
+1 Kuraz the Light Monarch
+1 Rescue Cat
+3 Nimble Momonga
+1 Crystal Promise
+3 Crystal Release
+1 Lightning Vortex
+1 Giant Trunade
--------------------------- Total: +17 cards. Deck: 40 cards.
  • This deck should be much more potent, but also much harder to play. You should try it out though, once you get how it "flows", you'll own with it. I know I do xD.
If you have any questions on this build I'll be glad to answer. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 20:05, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot Darth, I'll give it a shot. I think I see what the deck would be all about with these fixes. Thanks for the Help. Kaeruthelegend 18:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Kaeruthelegend

Adding synchros

I have run into this problems with CBs, especially against a remove from play deck. I was wondering if you had thought of adding synchros to the CB to give it an extra strategy to use on a more powerful opponent. After a few tries I came to the conclusion that this must be done with as few cards as possible so I tried it with 2xKrebons and it worked quite nicely, especially when comboed with Rescue Cat. I used a deck like this, would you have any suggestions/comments as regards to it?

Uhh... I hope you're building this deck for the traditional format, because Witch of the Black Forest is B&. Runer5h 16:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

You should get rid of all 6 of your trap cards, Crystal Beasts don't work well with them Reddv 20:59, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
