I have to admit, I'm a little confused on how this card is played. It says in its card lore "Activate only when a "Crystal Beast" monster you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. Place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your Deck in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, face-up as a Continuous Spell Card. You take no Battle Damage this turn."

does this mean that you take no battle damage that turn after the battle between a monster and a crystal beast? or does the battle damage resulting from that battle also get negated?

for instance, player one uses dark magician to attack crystal beast amber mammoth in attack mode. does player 2 activate it after damage calculation or before? would the battle damage resulting between dark magician and Amber Mammoth apply? Klovasos 21:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Monsters are sent to the graveyard when they are destroyed by battle after damage calculation. To your example the battle damage between Dark Magician and Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth is applied normally. You take no battle damage from your next battles until the end of that turn.
