Forum:Diamond Dude Field Wipe

I've already made one esoteric Diamond Dude deck, based around using its effect to summon huge monsters. This time, I'll be doing something else - using Diamond Dude to wipe my opponent's field! A whole lot of times!

This deck is all about wiping your opponent's field again and again and again and again, using the effect of Diamond Dude. Then, you go in for a couple of direct attacks with either huge monsters or monsters whose effects activate when they attack. It's an interesting strategy.

For monsters, there's Diamond Dude, obviously. Dasher also comes in as one of the best D-Heroes in the game. Then, there's Archfiend Solder and Gene-Warped Warwolf as great heavy hitters. Mystic Tomato searches out Diamond Dude. Plaguespreader Zombie has a well-known combo with Diamond Dude. Don Zaloog helps destroy my opponent's hand and is searchable with Mystic Tomato. Finally, Stratos has great ATK and searches out Diamond Dude and Dasher.

For spells, I've got 3 different field-wipers - Magical Cannon, Short Circuit, and Delta Hurricane - for a total of 8. A Feather of the Phoenix seems to have been made to abuse with Diamond Dude. Allure of Darkness, Destiny Draw, and Magical Mallet are great draw spells. Finally, Monster Reborn and Mystical Space Typhoon are the obligatory staples.

For traps, I have a total of 6 cards to protect Diamond Dude - 3 Dark Illusions and 3 Dark Bribes. There's also Bottomless Trap Hole to protect it from being destroyed by battle.

For the extra deck, I put in 2 each of Gaia Knight and Iron Chain Dragon, as well as a Goyo Guardian, which can be gotten by tuning Plaguespreader to any level 4 monster. Also, on the off chance that I get Dasher to tune with, I put in Stardust Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, and Thought Ruler Archfiend.

• Add 2 copies of Summoner Monk. He can search out Diamond Dude and if you draw Short Circuit, Mega Ton Magical Cannon or Ojama Delta Hurricane!! you can discard them, since they become useless if you draw those cards. Also replace Dark Illusion with Threatening Roar. To end, replace Gene-Warped Warwolf and Archfiend Soldier with Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame and Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind. Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind is a Tuner, can be summoned with Mystic Tomato, his second effect is very useful since this deck can't get rid of Stardust Dragon, except by synchro summoning a synchro monster with your only Tuner Plaguespreader Zombie. Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame is a beatstick that helps to swarm the field and to synchro summon. The Horror'^{Speak if you dare} 16:36, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
