Garandolph, Devil King of Destruction lives up to its name; wiping the field of face-up monsters as long as they have DEF less or equal to its ATK, which is by the way a nifty 2500. In general, even this effect wouldn't make it that playable, except for the Ritual Fiends, which allow themselves to be removed from the graveyard for the ritual summon.... Are you thinking what I'm thinking? No? Well, here's what I'm thinking; Garandolph Ritual Fiend Return!

Basically, I'm aiming to load the graveyard with Ritual Fiends at top speed using primarily Dark Grepher, remove all of them at once for the Ritual summon of Garandolph, do a field wipe and hopefully load Garandolph up with a few extra ATK points, and use Return for game. Good plan, right?

For monsters, Garandolph is obviously first. Dark Grepher is second and is a key card of the deck; it can special summon using a discarded Garandolph, and loads the grave very quickly with the necessary Ritual Fiends. These are Curse Enchanter, Presider, and Releaser, which together ensure something of a lockdown once Garandolph hits the field. Releaser stops Gorz from happening, while Curse Enchanter stops Stardust from ruining my plans. Presider doesn't help as much for an OTK but it's still useful; 1800 ATK and a good effect for Garandolph should it come out a bit early. Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands can search Garandolph from the deck instantly, which could mean a combo with Dark Grepher or the Ritual summoning happening that turn. Manju is conveniently LIGHT as well, which is where Chaos Sorcerer comes in. Its effect allows for the removal of an annoying monster if I need it, and it also sets up for Return.

For spells, Allure comes first, as great draw power given the number of DARKs. Ritual of Destruction is necessary because it is Garandolph's ritual spell. Monster Reincarnation retrieves any Garandolphs or Chaos Sorcerers I discarded to feed Dark Grepher, while conveniently loading the grave as well. Heavy Storm, Giant Trunade and MST allow for spell and trap removal in my big finish. Preparations, meanwhile, allows me to nab Garandolph INSTANTLY from the deck, as well as allowing me to bring back a Ritual of Destruction that I may have discarded or set as a bluff. Gold Sarcophagus could easily provide another monster to allow me to win the game in one turn, or it could just allow me to search something. Burial from a Different Dimension can get monsters back into my graveyard if I need them; Foolish Burial can get them to the grave in the first place. Finally, Reinforcement of the Army searches Grepher, and My Body as a Shield ensures that an annoying card like, say, Thunder King Rai-Oh doesn't mess up my combo.

For the traps, Return from the Different Dimension comes first and foremost. 3 Dark Bribes ensure that my opponent does not screw me over with Mirror Force. Dust Tornado allows me to set Return on my opponent's turn, and Threatening Roar prevents my opponent from destroying my Dark Grepher or something by battle.

Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 19:13, September 28, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I don't think you need Gold Sarcophagus, and I think you might want to add D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation, either that or throw in another Burial from a Different Dimension. I hope my suggestion helped!--Akiza'sRose66 23:43, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

I don't really see the need of Gold either. If you find you still can't run into the ritual enough, you could run/side deck a Contract with the Abyss, but other than that, it seems good to me. --ZeroLife0L 17:38, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

I think I don't overstate if I say: That thing is just great.

Once this ritual is out you can throw most decks away. Every Monster on the field with 2500 or less def is destroyed after the summon and after that you can't special summon at all. And even if there would be a LV or something like that you can be quite sure that he has 1 ore more dark bribe on the field to negate it. This thing is just a nightmare for any opponent. -dest- 18:15, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

I made some changes. Gone are Gold Sarcophagus, D.D. Burial, and Dust Tornado. In their place, I'm sticking in another Presider, another Manju, Sangan, and a second My Body as a Shield. Runer5h 19:33, September 29, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Another change; took out a Releaser for Dimensional Alchemist. Runer5h 20:09, September 29, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I suggest a few Swords of Revealing Light, not to stop the opponent but to flip all your opponet's monsters face-up for Garandolph, also it will stop them from making a counterattck. Dark-Piercing Light should work good too but won't stop your opponent, but should be cheaper to buy.--Azure Knight-Zeo 01:49, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Umm, please check the decklist. Ritual of Destruction is definitely there. Runer5h 02:05, October 3, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Woops, heh heh sorry I didn't see it there... My bad.--Azure Knight-Zeo 02:15, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Revamp

The deck is officially revamped. I've inserted the new Djinn Precogster of Rituals, cutting down on the numbers for the other Fiends. I've removed a copy of Manju, Dimensional Alchemist, and both my Chaos Sorcerers - they weren't nearly consistent enough. With those out of the way, I put in 2 Armageddon Knights and 3 Necro Gardna. The Arma Knights mill without losing hand advantage, and Necro Gardna is perfect protection in this deck. Summoner Monk is also in - it can special summon my Arma Knights and Grephers for easy milling access.

The spells got some cuts - My Body as a Shield and Rush Recklessly among them. The only addition, though, is Veil of Darkness. I've used this card before and it is very powerful.

As for traps, I dropped a copy each of Dark Bribe and Threatening Roar for 2 Bottomless Trap Hole. Runer5h 01:58, December 6, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I think you should go with 3 Garandolph, Devil King of Destruction. I know he could end up being a dead draw, but it just seems like you have an overkill on the Ritual Fiends, when they will really only be used around twice.--Akiza Izayoi 02:59, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Well, they've got good stats in their own right. Presider and Curse Enchanter are 1800 and 1700 respectively. Besides, the high DARK count means more use out of my Allures and Veils. Runer5h 03:11, December 6, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
