ok.. so can someone please explain Gemini summoning? Like when does my Gemini monster get its effect? and is it true you don't need tributes for Gemini summoning?

thanks and I'm sorry if these are newb questions but I really don't get it. Bachy Wachy 21:24, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

  • After the Gemini monster is first summoned to the field, you can, during another turn, re-summon it on the field, without tributes, and gain its effect. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 21:30, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

ok thanks. but how would I re-summon it?? ok lets say a gigaplant gets killed and then I play a lonefire blossom and use its effect to bring out a completely different gigaplant? would that gigaplant have the effect?

No, you must declare that you summon Gigaplant. If you have 2 Gigaplant on the field, then you must declare a summon for each of them. But this summon does count toward your once-per-turn summon. Messengerofthedark 21:42, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark
  • You Normal summon Gigaplant from your hand. It is treated as a normal monster. During your next turn, you just say, that you re-summoning that Gigaplant to gain its effect. Gigaplant does not go anywhere. It remains on the field. After its second summon, Gigaplant will gain its effect. That second summon works like an original Normal summon, so it can be negated with cards like Solemn Judgment, and you cannot normal summon or set a monster if you re-summon a gemini monster, during the same turn. OHHHH!! so do I need tributes for gigaplant the first turn it is summoned? and btw thanks a lot. so.. I play gigaplant and then after it's been on the field for one turn my next turn I can say that I gemini summon it and that counts as my normal summon but it gains its effect?

  • Correct! Also you only tribute monster for Gigaplant's first summon (from the hand to the field). You do not tribute again for its Gemini summon. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 22:07, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! I get it now. Bachy Wachy 22:10, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

do you have to Gemini summon it every round?

No. Once it's Gemini summoneed, it's treated as an effect monster as long as it's face-up on the field. War Pigg 05:38, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

^^

No, because a Gemini Monster can only be Gemini Summoned once while it is face-up on the field.Qstation 05:41, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

ahmmmm,.."so once a gemini monster has been gemini summoned it is treated as an effect monster with its effect"....question?..when that same monster(that has already been gemini summoned) was sent to the graveyard and i want to special summon it with cards like call of the haunted or silent doom, will it gain its effect(since it was already gemini summoned) or i must re-summon that monster again?? -hope someone can help and thanks- gomer.g

No, you must "re-summon" it. When Gemini Monsters are in the graveyard, they are treated as Normal Monsters. Therefore, the monster that you just special summoned out of the graveyard is treated as a Normal Monster.--HHTurtle 07:01, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

-Thanks a lot, well appreciated-

also keep in mind that if your opponent uses things like Future Visions, every time you Gemini Summon the Gemini Monster it will be removed due to the field card's effect, and comes back as normal monster the next turn24.205.27.112 06:13, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
