So after getting annoyed at blackwings, I decided to do an old school deck, however after trying it out in DMU, it seems to work better than expected, thus I have started creation of it in RL, what do you think? and what should I change?
(and yes, I know I should replace the 7 tools with bribes/solems)
Harpies
(42 cards total)
Wings of Furie

Effect Monsters

Most of the deck relies on powering up the wind monsters, such as hunter owl, swarming the field with harpies whle destroying spells/traps to make it safe, shrink lets me kill anything that can be destroyed by battle,
aslla is in there as I can get good field presence usualy, and it can OTK well using swallow's nest,
swallows nest is also good for avoiding things that target the monsters, destroy a spell/trap (by summoning a harpie), attacking with one thing then summoning another (for extra 2000dmg~) or for creating the owl lockdown eaiser
so! what do you think?Resk 15:35, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- I rather like it. One thing you're missing, however, is Icarus Attack - a marvelous card considering the swarm capacity of this deck with Hysteric Party. Runer5h 18:24, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
- 42 cards is my usual limit, so dropped a MST for 2 iccy attacks, as I should have enough destruction, though if anyone can help me get it down to 40, that'd be good (and thanks Runer5h btw)Resk 08:20, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Harpies v3.14
Rechecked my list, and this is what I have now, but it is too many cards... Anyone suggest things to toss to get it down to 40?

and as mentioned, I'll get darkbribes once the structure deck with them as common comes out >.>Resk 23:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I really don't think you need the Twin-Headed Behemoth, even if it is Wind.--Akiza'sRose66 23:25, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I run the Twin-heads as they are a) wind b) stall c) tributes for God, c) power up owl & d) i couldn't think of any more monsters, but I might try it without anyway, ty, Resk 12:24, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Harpies IV
Playtested a bit more, so dropped a battlestorm, due to him not being wind, and his reliance on having the other monsters on field, he's probably the least important monster (except maybe the asalas),
I'd get Shield Wing if it was out over here to replace the behemoths.. but it's not,
But other that that, so far the main problem has been getting a harpie out... not sure how..
6 hapies, 3 'seach for wind', 2 swallows nest to replace a monster if really need it.. and I keep not getting a single one out... I did consider Birdface but the main problem would be the loss of field presence as he adds to hand,
Also, considering as Harpie Queen only counts on field and grave, Elegant Egotist can use her as the original 'cost' for the search, but cannot seach out her, leaving only 3 targets for them, so should I drop them to 2?Resk 12:09, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
