Forum:Help with Worm-Exodia deck

Hey everyone, this is my Worm-Exodia deck. Before I say anything, here's the decklist:

Basically, the deck works like this. It uses draw power and Gold Sarcophagus in order to get Future Fusion to my hand as fast as possible, before even worrying about the Exodia pieces. Then I play it on Worm Zero, and send all of my worms to the graveyard. The goal isn't really to get him on the field, it's just to draw Exodia. Once all of my worms are out of the deck, every card I draw will either be searching, draw power, or stalling. Plus if Worm Zero does make it to the field, that helps too.

Now here's the reasons for the individual cards in my deck:

The Worms themselves:

I tried to use mostly worms that don't require tributes, since i usually prefer to have multiple worms protecting me. I also used as many different worms as possible that don't have effects that are detrimental to the next, except I have 3 Worm Linx for draw power, and 3 Worm Apocalypse for back-row destruction.

Future Fusion:

Obvious, the whole point of the deck.

Gold Sarcophagus:

Can search Future Fusion, and after that, Exodia pieces.

Messenger of Peace:

This is used for stalling while I collect the pieces.

Magical Mallet:

Can reload a bad hand, and is very useful for when I have a full hand of worms.

Upstart Goblin:

A perfect draw card, since I really don't care if the opponent gains life points when using Exodia.

Gravity Bind:

Same as Messenger of Peace

Legacy of Yata-Garasu:

This used to be Pot of Duality, before I knew it was expensive.

When I test this deck against my brother, cousin, and friends it seems to work fairly well. Oftentimes I end up discarding Exodia from an effect so I'm going to side deck 3 Dark Eruption. However, I know this would be too slow at my locals, and I want to make this deck good for this Wednesday's tournament (the day after hidden arsenal 3, therefore worm zero becomes legal). My main problems seem to be that if I don't get Future Fusion fast enough, I lose, but if I put in too much draw power it'll dilute the effect of Future Fusion. Also, I've lost multiple matches just because of a well-time MST or Dark Bribe by my opponent, so some better ways to stall would be appreciated. I've considered putting in guys like Marshmallon, but I'm worried that would slow me down even more. Any ideas? SuperKirbyFan (talkcontribs) 18:44, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

I actually tried this online a few years back, though I did end up dropping the Exodia for Evil Dragon Ananta instead, but for suggestions, I'd Recomend 3x Worm Cartaros, 3 xWorm Hope, due to deck thining, as Worm Zero doesn't need the materials to be -Different-, just it will have less attack for the same number,-Resk (talkcontribs) 20:39, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

I thought about Worm Hope, my worry would be that I'd be forced to discard Exodia, or like Future Fusion or something. Oftentimes after the duel's been going for a time, all I have in my hand is Exodia pieces, so I'd have to discard what I draw. Although I could try it out and see if he works. Worm Cartaros is a good idea too. 140.193.219.214 (talk) 16:17, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Well I tested it with 3 Hope's and 3 Cataros and it worked fine, so they're staying in. Anyone else have ideas? 140.193.219.214 (talk) 16:17, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
