Forum:Holy Lights Double Effect?

Ok after reading this card I don't really get its effect. I mean whats the point of its first effect? The one that says it cant be destroyed by battle with a dark monster and that any battle damage taken by that battle is 0. When its second effect says Dark monsters can't attack.

Is this merely for when Holy Light is face down and is attacked by a dark monster? Cause thats the only instance that I can think of both of its effects mattereing. And if thats true thats a really overpowered effect.

I mean the fact that it can single handely stop summons and not be destroyed by battle is one thing. But to stop attacks as well is another.

I mean the anti light card Brain Golem doesn't come close to that kinda power. Not to mention it being a tribute monster while this can be special summoned or searched by a numerous number of things. 75.118.241.251 22:32, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty much. The other time is when your opponent uses a S/T to coax other monsters into attacking, where Holy Light's 0/0 would result something very painful if it didn't have the first effect. --Gadjiltron 03:31, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

I'd like an "Evil Darkness" card of some sort. Since light is where its at right now.

Honest is amazingly broken. They better do something to it when it comes in a tin. Its probably the only monster you can put 40 of in a deck and win. It has 1900 defense so its not a dead draw, can be returned to the hand so it has advantages with call of the haunted and such, and of course pwns you in the face when you attack a light monster.
