can the chaos infinity and summoner of illusions combo work in the TCG i have seen it in the OCG but im sure they dont pay a cost with there summoner of illusions and us in the TCG do.
Example
Set Chaos Infinity and Summoner of Illusions then end during opponents draw phase i flip my chaos infinity wat will happen next as in chain links

- resolve
- Chain Link 1: Chaos Infinity (All DEF --> ATK mode. Then, Special Summon Meklord)
- New Chain:
- Chain Link 1: Summoner of Illusions (Tribute 1 other monster as cost)
- resolve
- Chain Link 1: Summoner of Illusions (Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster)

- This
shwould be how it goes forboththe TCGand OCG. Are you certain the OCG don't pay the cost? Can you provide a source for that. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 09:49, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
source is here http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Summoner_of_Illusions
OCG and TCG contradicting each other again lol so i dont think its possible unless summoner starts a new chain --Daddygray44 (talk • contribs) 09:58, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- Ok that changes things. The TCG card wording has it as a cost (but it's old, so it's probably printed by UDE), and there is a previously official ruling saying that it is a cost (also by UDE).
- For now, we're probably going to follow the wording of the card, so until there's an errata by Konami or a ruling update, it should stay as it is.
- The OCG ruling is indeed correct, but the monster still needs to be tributed in the OCG.
- OCG chain would go like this:
- resolve
- Chain Link 1: Chaos Infinity (All DEF --> ATK mode. Then, Special Summon Meklord)
- New Chain:
- resolve
- Chain Link 1: Summoner of Illusions (Tribute 1 other monster, then Special Summons 1 Fusion Monster)

Ok thanks just need to know how it will work for the TCG does summoner become chain link 2 to chaos infinity --Daddygray44 (talk • contribs) 10:10, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
- New chain for both _CG. As flipping the monsters with Chaos Infinity are not costs.... on second thoughts, even IF flipping was a cost, it would wait for the current chain to end before starting a new chain. (Similar to what happens if you Tribute Sangan for Crush Card Virus) -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 10:17, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
