Forum:It's the SWYO deck!

FYI, SWYO is short for Screw With Your opponent. With this deck, you can force the activation of your opponent's cards, make your opponent take the battle damage that is rightfully yours, and generally make 'em squirm!

I'm basically trying to make the most erratic, messed up, plain weird deck I can, and here's the results. There's lots of cards that mess with the opponent; Swords Woman, Chain Master, Dummy Golem, Lava Golem, Bait Doll, Dark Designator, Exchange, Unstable Evolution, Staunch Defender, and Mirror Wall. Yeah, that's a lot of cards. To support all of this, I've got Freed, Night Assailant, Warrior Lady, Marauding Captain, Mist Body, Reinforcement, and Life Absorbing Machine. Let's see what this deck can do:

  • I can attach Mist Body to Swords Woman and either ram her into stronger monsters or force them to attack her with Staunch Defender;
  • I can do the above combo, but with Lava Golem;
  • I can use Chain Master to steal cards from my opponent (how awesome is that!), and then recoup my life loss with Life Absorbing Machine;
  • I can use Dark Designator to send a useless card into my opponent's hand, or give them a good card and snatch it with Exchange;
  • I can steal my opponent's monster with Dummy Golem...

The list goes on. Anyways, this deck makes things weird. Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 22:25, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Add Magic Cylinder and Battle Mania maybe along with Final Attack Orders.

the point is, force the opponent to attack, once you have your desired field, and use Magic Cylinder and Mirror Wall to give them any damage you might take.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions. I'm adding a Magic Cylinder, but I already have 2 Staunch Defenders, so I don't think I'll need Battle Mania. Runer5h 16:42, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

EDIT: Whoops! I forgot about Nightmare Wheel! I'll be replacing Shadow Spell with that. Runer5h 22:09, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Puppet King? For when you use Dark Designator. Shoukatsuryou 03:10, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Maybe. I'd side-deck it for matches where I need more brawn. Runer5h 19:09, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

By the way, Dummy Golem's effect doesnt work if its destroyed. 68.123.234.90 04:04, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

I know. That's what Waboku is for. Runer5h 19:15, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I love the idea of this deck. I just love decks that say "Screw the metagame, i'm gonna have fun!".Maybe consider adding Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce in? Equip it to Amazoness Swords Woman along with Mist Body. She gets to attack twice and it lowers her ATK. Also, Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu might be good for searching out either of the equip cards. It's not all about having fun - I actually do want to be able to win some games with this deck. So, what would I remove for Twin Swords or Kotetsu? Runer5h 15:22, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I'd say remove Alchemy Cycle and Unstable Evolution for two Twin Swords and the Dummy Golem for the Blacksmiths.

Not Unstable Evolution! That card is just too useful. But I will swap Dummy Golem for Blacksmith and Alchemy Cycle for Twin Swords. Runer5h 15:33, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
