Forum:Jurak Cards?

I'm running a Dino deck and want some syncros in them and did some reasearch
Found out that the only tuner Dino monsters are the new Jurak Dino monsters
Does anyone have any idea when these cards might come out in the US?

It's a shame. I proxied up a Jurak deck and it ran amazingly well. They have amazing search power - Jurak Vello, Jurak Guivre, and Fossil Dig I ran in threes, and I used 1 Babycerasaurus and 1 Miracle Jurassic Egg. 12 cards overall that can search out another Dino. And all of their main monsters are beatsticks - not to mention the fact that Jurak Giganot can boost them further. (2 Giganots means stacking effects, which is just amazing. I've gotten 5000+ ATK monsters that way.) They also have recursion power thanks to Jurak Auro, and draw power thanks to the tuner Jurak Deino. In short, a great deck. Wait someone in my school said that DT1 packs came out today or yesterday in America. Is that true? If it came out we'll be a little closer to Juraks. If not then I need to go yell at one of my friends. ^^ RanodmKaos 23:02, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Indeed, I wouldn't mind running Juraks either. My favorite though, is the ever-hungry Jurak Tyranus. He may not be easy to keep around, but he can get quite big.--Black Rose 13:02, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

i like aggression because im a GB player and ive seen the jurak cards and think they are very good.So i wonder if a jurak deck would end up as a meta deck like blackwings because they special summon alot through jurak vello and use a extra deck.GBmaster 21:35, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Hmm... the deck can definitely pull off some cool combos. My favorite Jurak monster is Jurak Meteor, because it wipes the field and then you SS a tuner from your graveyard - I usually choose Jurak Deino or Jurak Auro. (I really like chaining Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai to Meteor, because I get to dole out 2800 damage!) Thus, my deck is partially based around being able to do that. I can use Goka, the Pyre of Malice in the deck to provide tokens for synchros - I've often gotten Jurak Meteor out from Goka, its token, and Jurak Deino or Jurak Monolov. Another way I do it is Jurak Garim and 2 level 4 monsters - usually, one of them is Jurak Guivre because of its swarm capacity.

However, what really determines the power of a deck is usually, in my opinion:

• Beatdown power: Face it, all the best decks have reliable access to beatsticks, and many use ATK boosting. Lightsworn has Jain, Lyla, and of course Wulf (don't forget Honest). Blackwing has tons of ATK manipulation with Sirocco, Gale and Kalut, not to mention the high ATKs of Shura and Bora. And so on. Juraks DEFINITELY fulfill this category - Deino, Guivre, Vello (keep in mind that Vello is the equivalent of GIANT RAT for Juraks, so being a beatstick is a bit rare...), and Protapus all fit the bill. Meanwhile, Jurak Giganot boosts every single one of them, and you can even use Molten Destruction for additional power.
• Draw/search power: Blackwings can use Allure, and many use Reckless Greed as well, while Shura searches the deck. Lightsworns have a habit of using Charge of the Light Brigade and Solar Recharge. Zombies use Allure, and essentially search using Foolish Burial/Armageddon Knight/Dark Grepher. See what I mean? Besides the rather bizarre draw power that Jurak Deino offers, Juraks don't have much draw power that they can use... but boy oh boy do they have search power! My build used a total of 12 searching cards, which is astronomically more than most other decks can boast.
• Consistency: Yes, it is very consistent. The deck can just summon beatstick after beatstick after beatstick.
• Synchro Capability: Most decks these days can synchro summon with relative ease. Blackwings are obvious, LS can use Plaguespreader Zombie very well, and even GBs sometimes use X-Saber Airbellum for the combo with Rescue Cat. Juraks also can synchro summon very easily, as it has a wealth of level 1, 2, and 3 tuners. And these tuners are playable in their own right, even if you can't synchro summon. Also, Jurak Guivre excels at getting synchro fodder.
• Recursion: Simply, the ability to retrieve cards from the graveyard. For argument's sake, let's say that recursion can also be cards that are useful in the graveyard. LS shines here - no pun intended - because recursion is what it's all about. Lumina, Necro Gardna, Shiny Black C, all recurse speedily. Blackwings have Vayu, of course, and also can use Blizzard the Far North, Dark Eruption, and Against the Wind. Gladiator Beasts have the powerful Equeste and Darius to help in that department. As for Juraks, they have the very useful Jurak Auro - searchable with One for One - in addition to Fossil Excavation and even Jurak Meteor.
• Boss monsters: Most great decks have them. Judgment Dragon, Heraklinos, Blackwing Armor Master/DAD, XX-Saber Gottoms, etc... Juraks have Jurak Giganot. I've found that the best way to use it is to have more than one, because assuming none of the cards used in their summons were removed from play your Juraks will get a 1600 ATK boost. This boost increases by 400 for every other Jurak in the grave.

indeed they are but the juraks arnt a mass swarm series like "dark" monsters and the blackwings (BW is way too fast)but they can lay a mass beat down and i hope they get released in possibly a hidden arsenal 2 (its possible the extension for hidden arsenal is HA01-EN) fingers crossedKazisaki 00:15, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
