I just happened to come access to this kind of situation. As I attacked Kuribon with my Ally of Justice Catastor, would Catastor's effect activate first or Kuribon's effect activate? As in result of my loss 2200 or can I kill Kuribon? --FredCat100 (talkcontribs) 20:02, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

kuribon states:

  • "If this card was selected as an attack target by your opponent's monster, you can activate this effect during damage calculation."

Catastor States:

  • If this card battles a non-DARK monster, destroy that monster without applying damage calculation.

Since you never apply damage calculation, Kuribon's effect cannot activate, and Catastor will destroy it without effect.

This is granted, however, that Kuribon was face up. If kuribon was face down than Catastor's effect cannot activate and when Kuribon is flipped face up it's effect will activate and resolve. Kearowind (talkcontribs) 20:15, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, thanks, I was just make sure since I maybe consider Kuribon = Grand Mole. --FredCat100 (talkcontribs) 20:20, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

no way D:

Grand Mole bounces both monsters while kuribon only bounces itself and then leaves you wide open. It also would suck up a summon the next turn and because it only bounces itself your opponent will out number your amount of monsters quite quickly.

on top of that kuribon has lame stats and you wouldn't gain much if they knocked it out with a low attack monster and THEN hit you with a high attck monster. Kearowind (talkcontribs) 20:25, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

In reality; my opponent also has Bad Reaction to Simochi, Ultimate Offering, and Kuribon all ready to combine against my attacks. As well as Battle Mania if it didn't already do so. --FredCat100 (talkcontribs) 20:34, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

i shall add kuribon to my bad reaction to simochi deck list now o.o" Kearowind (talkcontribs) 20:41, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
