Forum:Lead Yoke question

If a Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke battles and my opponent tries to get rid of it with a Sakuretsu Armor or a Mirror Force and I use its effect to detach a Battlin' Boxer - Glassjaw to prevent its destruction, can I activate the effect to add a Battlin' Boxer from my Graveyard to my hand before the attack goes through, right after Lead Yoke has defended itself, will it miss the timing, or how would it work?

Say there are 2 Lead Yokes and a Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus on the field in Attack Position. I attack with Number 105 and my opponent activates Mirror Force. Can I use a Lead Yoke 1 to protect Number 105 and Lead Yoke 2's effect to defend Lead Yoke 1 so I can keep Number 105 and lead Yoke 1 on the field OR will Lead Yoke 1 be destroyed because Lead Yoke 2 was no longer on the field, and in turn destroy Number 105 (becuase Lead Yoke 1 was destroyed)?

XYZ Material Detachment

Lead Yoke would be saved if you activate it's effect in reaction to a destruction effect.(Spell speed 2 IIRC)

However Sending Glassjaw to the graveyard is a cost not Lead Yoke's effect.(XYZ Material)

Lead Yoke's Primary effect is negation of a destruction effects affecting him. His Secondary effect when a overlay material is detached increase the ATK points. As I see it detaching is a cost, And thus claiming Glassjaws effect should be considered a miss play IMHO.

As for the second question here Hm, Lead Yoke Only saves it's self from destruction so you couldn't even do what you gave as an example but it's a nice idea.

Alright, my question is getting ignored now. I'm gonna re-ask the issue below.

For the record, ignore everything User:Assaulting warrior said; he is blatantly wrong. Anyways, back to your question Milleifiore, the destruction is considered simultaneous. So long as a "Lead Yoke" detaches an Xyz Material to protect another "Battlin' Boxer" monster, that monster will be saved, even if the "Lead Yoke" that used its effect is destroyed at the same time. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 02:13, December 11, 2013 (UTC)
