Can I negate Light and Darkness Dragon's 3rd effect with my own royal oppression? What if it's my opponent's Royal oppression (it won't be destroyed by the destruction effect). Metagame.com 23:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hm, in the first case, the destruction occurs first, so you can't negate it with "Royal Oppression" since it's not on the field anymore. The second case, I don't think it can negate the field-nuking effect, just the Special Summon. I may be wrong, though. Danny Lilithborne 02:26, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- In both cases, "Royal Oppression" can negate the effect, and will negate both the destruction and the Special Summon. It is the same as "Royal Oppression" vs "Cyber Jar" - you are negating the whole effect, not the part of the effect that Special Summons.
- Also, in the first case, "Light and Darkness Dragon" does not destroy cards until resolution. You can chain your own "Royal Oppression" because it hasn't been destroyed yet.
