If I attack my opponent face-down Man-Eater Bug, and my opponent target my monster card equip with axe of despair, those axe of despair miss it's timming because man-eater bug has to be sent to the graveyard first, or would the graveyard effect of axe of despair resolve before man-eater bug is sent to the graveyard? If it does not miss it's timming and I tributed sagan to return axe of despair to the top of my deck would the effect of sagan activated before man-eater bug is sent to the graveyard?96.44.82.53 (talk) 21:37, September 12, 2010 (UTC)
- You don't miss the timing to activate Axe of Despair's effect. Check the Breakdown of the Battle Phase. Man-Eater Bug destroys the targeted monster during the Sub-Step 6. Axe of Despair activates at that moment (after it and the monster are sent to the Graveyard). The Man-Eater Bug is sent to the Graveyard during the Sub-Step 7.
