simple question Musakani Magatama vs sangan - can you negate the effect due to the fact that it says "negate and destroy " , but you can negate but you cant destroy it due to its effect activating when it is destroyed

- On Talk Pages and Forum Pages, it's a good practice to sign your posts. You can do that by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your post and it will automatically create a signature for you when you click 'Publish'. Just like Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, Divine Wrath, Gladiator Beast War Chariot, etc. All do not need to be able to destroy the card in order to negate the effect. However, Musakani Magatama says when your opponent activates a Spell Card, Trap Card or Effect Monster's effect that would destroy a card(s). Sangan's effect does not destroy cards.
