Hello all, Having a disagreement with my friends over the outcome of using a Bujingi Crane, and it's turning into more of an argument instead of a debate, so a thorough answer would be super helpful.

If I attack a monster with an equal or stronger attack power using my Bujin Susanowo and use a Bujingi Crane, which monster would be destroyed? My friends think that they just take battle damage and my Susanowo is destroyed because their monster is "Physically" stronger. This likely stems from the wording of Bujingi Cranes effect, it says "During damage calculation only". I am confident though that my Susanowo is not destroyed, it wins the battle and therefore the other monster is destroyed.

So my question is, if I use my Susanowo(2400atk) to attack a monster with a 3000 attack power for example, then I use a Crane, which monster is destroyed?

Wut?
Susanowo Wins. The ATK score during damage cal is what determines who wins, whos stronger otherwise is irrelevant. that 3000 ATK monster is dead.

Thank you for the quick answer. That's what I thought too, but they don't believe me, so hopefully this will help.

Hopefully, the same scores that determine how much battle damage is dealt is what determines what monster wins
Otherwise there is little point in effects like Bujin crane, and everyone would use Bujinji crow instead

Damage calculation is when damage is conducted, AND when it is determined which monster is going to be destroyed by this battle. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:59, February 25, 2015 (UTC)
