Can someone please do me a huge favor and properly explain Neo-Spacian Grand Mole's effects and how to use them properly. A friend and I have had huge problems with this card when dueling and want to be informed.
An example would also be very much appreciated.
Thanks

- When a face-up Neo-Spacian Grand Mole battles with a monster, you can activate its effect, during the Damage Step, and return both monsters to their owner hands, without applying any Battle Damage to players' Life Points. If a face-down Grand Mole is attacked, its effect cannot be activated.
- -Example 1: Player A has Neo-Spacian Grand Mole on the field. Player B controls a Dark Magician. Grand Mole is in face-up attack position. (it doesn't matter is the Magician is face-up or face-down, or its position). Lets say he is in face-up attack position. Player A declares an attack with Mole. During the Damage Step, Player A chooses to activate Mole's effect. Both Mole and the Magician are returned to their owner's hand. No Battle Damage is inflicted to player A's LP.
- -Example 2: Player A has a face-down Neo-Spacian Grand Mole on the field. It's Player B's turn and he chooses to attack the face-down Mole, with his Dark Magician. During the Damage Step, Player A cannot activate Mole's effect since it is face-down, so the Mole is destroyed normally.
- -Example 3: Player A attacks Player B's face-down Man-Eater Bug. During the Damage Step, Player A chooses to activate Mole's effect, so both monsters are returned to their owner's hands. Bug's effect does not activate since it is not get flipped, because Mole's effect activates before the face-down attacked monster gets flipped face-up. (See Breakdown of the Battle Phase for more info)!
