how can i know when a optional effect miss it's timing?
for example:
can card of safe return chain to itself?
meaning if i summon from the graveyard multiple monsters and i have a single card of safe return...
can it chain?
and give some example on apply the missing the timing rule?
- When looking at Optional Effects and missing the timing, you look at the last thing to resolve. Activating a card isn't resolving anything, so activating a card does not cause you to miss the timing.
- If you activate one copy of "Card of Safe Return" isn't resolving anything, so your second copy of will not miss the timing.
- See Card Rulings:Peten the Dark Clown for examples of missing the timing. In all those cases, the last thing to resolve is something other than "Peten the Dark Clown" being destroyed, so his effect cannot be activated.
