When you're about to upload an image. The first thing you should see is the notice:
- Please do not upload files that are not relevant to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki or solely for your user page.
- Any such images may be speedily deleted.
- Please do not upload files that are not relevant to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki or solely for your user page.
- Why exactly is it like that? I think it's something like, if Personal Images were allowed, then we'd have lots of unnecessary images that would drain the already overdrained servers.
- The response on that was "if I can upload an image as my personal image, as the 1 have of chubby yugi, chubby marik and chubby ryo, why can’t I upload this 1 that shows my achievements? I don’t c any1 having a problem, and I don’t see how would it botter any1. my image doens't ´´drain the overdrained servers´´ it's jsut there, in an user page never visited, and that noone knows."
- Though the avatar image is small and everyone is limited to 1 only, whereas people would then abuse the image upload function eventually and upload lots...
- Anyways. Case in point File:Yo.jpg

- Any argument appealing to the state of the servers should be ignored with extreme prejudice (there are times when we should worry about the servers/performance, but those are mostly when working with very complex, very widely used templates). The general line of logic behind that restriction is, I think, to discourage people from uploading 15 thousand pictures that they proceed to plaster all over their user page, and then never make another edit. I personally would have no problem with affording established users (those that have already demonstrated they are willing to help improve the wiki) a certain amount of leeway with this rule, though obviously, they should still take care not to go overboard with it. 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:11, February 8, 2011 (UTC)
