- Newly released with Crossroads of Chaos was the big new two-star tuner that pushed "Krebons" off the stage..."Plaguespreader Zombie"!
- This guy had a huge reputation even before the preview as zombie players were waiting for their synchros and this guy's ability to jump from the graveyard, with just the simple top-decking of one card from the hand!
- INCREDIBLE! "Plaguespreader Zombie" had so many uses and combinations that one of them caught my eye, due to the fact that it was combined with some of my favorite monsters... you guessed it, Lightsworns.
- To the start, most people who heard the idea of forming a deck between lightsworn and zombies was too much. Some thought that "Necro Gardna" and "Crush Card Virus" was too much of a stretch.
- A lot of guys I know who also play the deck agreed with the fact that another element could be added to the deck to give it alternative play and synchro power (like most decks are doing)
- With lightsworn the biggest play was to make sure you obtained field-control by swarming or launching "Judgment Dragon". However, synchro summoning would make this deck the "Holy Trinity" with its ability to destroy and swarm to obtain field.
- Now considering that "Plaguespreader Zombie" is a two star tuner, we get the ability to play "Goyo Guardian" and "Magical Android" with a four star Lightsworn like "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress" (after using her effect) and "Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior" or even "Necro Gardna".
- You can return a dead "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" with "Plaguespreader Zombie"'s effect to the top and shave it later.
- "Foolish Burial" instantly puts him in grave.
- However another card was added to ensure that with its addition, "Plaguespreader Zombie, and a four star monster could summon the eight star synchros easier. Its name is "Quillbolt Hedgehog"!
- You can play this deck with Destiny Hero Malicious instead of Quillbolt Hedgehog.
~~He can be sent by "Foolish Burial" to speed up play.
~~He can be special summoned when "Plaguespreader Zombie" is in play and combined with a four or three star can summon up "Black Rose Dragon" or "Stardust Dragon".
~~With two in the grave and one "Plaguespreader Zombie" you can play "Goyo Guardian"
- With the fact that these combos would be good. How do we deal with the downside effects of "Quillbolt Hedgehog" and "Plaguespreader Zombie? The answer is "Imperial Iron Wall!
~~This card refuses their effects to be removed and keeps them in the grave to be played again. This also stops "Destiny Hero - Malicious removal and "Allure of Darkness". It also protects from "D.D. Crow".
~~However this card does warrant the removal of "Necro Gardna" because of its conflict
