did Konami make magic cards into spell cards? To get to the other side!........................................no, really, why--Yugioh DED 19:41, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

When the Magic Ruler Booster Pack came out, there was a decent amount of confusion, becuase some people confused it for a Magic: The Gathering booster pack, and were sorely dissapointed upon purchase. Therefore, Konami changed "Magic Ruler" to Spell Ruler, to avoid further confusion, and the "Magic cards" were changed to "Spell cards".--Akiza Izayoi 20:11, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

I have never knew this. Man where do you get all this info Akiza? Fallensilence 21:55, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

That, I learned a while ago, but I can't remember where.--Akiza Izayoi 22:24, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Wait really? That's weird. Fallensilence 22:27, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Huh. Well, that is something I can't completely explain. All I know is that one of those changes was caused from confusion between Magic: the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!.--Akiza Izayoi 22:29, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

I think spell cards sound better. Fallensilence 22:36, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

I always thought the change was made because of a possible lawsuit. --Hozu 23:48, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

"The name Magic Card was likely changed to Spell Card to prevent confusion with the card game Magic: The Gathering, in addition to possible trademark disputes."
Fallensilence: If you want to know where I got that piece of information, I found it on a nice little site known as www.yugioh.wikia.com.--Akiza Izayoi 23:59, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

I'm really starting to love the wikia. Fallensilence 05:19, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
