- The effects of "Ancient Forest" and "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus" will activate in separate Chains, but how it plays out exactly depends on who controls "Ancient Forest".
- If you control "Ancient Forest", then during the End Step, you can choose which will activate first, "Ancient Forest" or "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus". If you choose to have "Ancient Forest" activate first, then "Stardust Dragon" will either negate it or be destroyed by it, so "Stardust Dragon" can't do anything when you tag out "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus" for "Gladiator Beast Murmillo".
- If your opponent controls "Ancient Forest", then he may choose to activate the effect of "Ancient Forest" first. If he doesn't, then you may activate the effect of "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus". If you don't, then your opponent must activate the effect of "Ancient Forest".
