I've got a card called Regulation of the Tribe and was hoping someone could verify its effect for me.
It says that, to keep it in effect, I must 'offer 1 monster from the field as a Tribute at each of my standby phases'.
At first, I thought this was a bit harsh, then I realized it didn't specify which side of the field the monster had to come form.
Thus, I'm wondering if I could use this card to destroy 1 of my opponents cards at the start of each of my turns instead of one of my own monsters.

card errata
- Old Card Lore: Select 1 Type of monster. Any monster of the selected Type cannot attack. To keep this card in effect, you must offer 1 monster from the field as a Tribute at each of your Standby Phases. If you cannot, this card is destroyed.
- New Card Lore: Declare 1 Type of monster. Monsters of the declared Type cannot attack. Tribute 1 monster from your side of the field during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed
Final Verification
Ah, so I can only use it to destroy my own monsters?
Or, because I have the old card, I could destroy monsters from either side?

If you aren't playing legally (tournaments) then just use the old errata card by destroying your opponent's monsters
new ruling
the card errata affects the old lore. so yes you have to destroy your own monster
- Note that "The Regulation of Tribe" does not destroy anything. The monster is Tributed.
- Also, as stated in the rulebook, Tributes are always from your side of the field, unless the card specifically states otherwise.
