Does anyone know about any other trap staples besides: Mirror Force, Threatening Roar, Solemn Judgment, Torrential Tribute, and Bottomless Trap Hole?--Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 03:43, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

"Dark Bribe", "Divine Warning", and "Dimensional Prison" That's only what I can add. --SilentHero26 (talkcontribs) 05:06, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Currently, the most "Staple" or "Staple"-like cards are: "Mirror Force", "Solemn Judgment", "Torrential Tribute", "Starlight Road", and "Royal Oppression". They can be found in nearly every Deck, with exceptions (such as "Infernity" not running "Royal Oppression"). DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 05:18, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Why not Divine Wrath?--Yugioh DED (talkcontribs) 05:15, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Because "Divine Wrath" requires a discard, which is seen as too large of a cost. Not to mention you won't always have a card to discard, and it is very, very situational. It doesn't help prevent your opponent from winning the Duel either. DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 06:49, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

So, if I have a Devine Wrath taking up space in my deck, what do you suggest I replace it with?

  • Note I don't have Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Solemn Judgment, but I do have Starlight Road. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 15:51, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

If you also have a Stardust Dragon, the I recommend you replace divine Wrath fot a Starlight Road. Jensc (talkcontribs) 18:32, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sakuretsu Armor, Magic Cylinder, Negate Attack, Seven Tools Of The Bandit, and Dust Tornado. 69.123.238.61 (talk) 20:36, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

No offense, but about 90% of the people here would consider those to not even be worth considering staples. Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 05:07, July 29, 2010 (UTC)

"Dust Tornado" is very likely to attain Staple status. It can be found in a great many a Deck, is Chainable, and acts an MST that can replace itself, acting as a double set. DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 06:20, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
  • No offense taken "Drew-Gi-Oh!", new cards are constantly coming out and the term "staple" is applicable to the time frame in which they were released. I guess my train of thought was with the "old school" staple trap cards, before the 5D era and GX. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that my outdated information may have caused anyone. At the very least you have to admit, the usefulness of "Dust Tornado" and "Seven Tools Of The Bandit" will be hard to replace.  :D

The Bandit has his little brother (who really doesn't deserve to be called his little brother), but Dust Tornado is still a great card to use, even though I don't run it often. It just screams FIELD PRESENCE!!!! Anyway, current staples for most Decks:

  • Dust Tornado
  • Dimensional Prison
  • Dark Bribe
  • Mirror Force
  • Torrential Tribute
  • Bottomless Trap Hole
  • Macro Cosmos
  • Royal Decree
  • Imperial Iron Wall
  • Call of the Haunted

Macro Cosmos, Royal Decree, Imperial Iron Wall, are all situational imperial iron wall should be in yoru side deck and macro cosmos kills all the main decks run atm so it is definately not a staple. Royal decree also murders decks so it is used only in particular decks just like macro is... Kearowind (talkcontribs) 14:10, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
