so, let's see, with ultimate offering i would have to pay 500 LP to be able to normal summon another monster, right? even if the monster needs a tribute? such as a dark magician [yeah, im a huge fan of that card, no matter what.] and with cry havoc i'd need to remove one monster from play to normal summon one monster, one normal monster, such as... a dark magician? is it possible?

  • I believe paying 500 LP is the cost to use Ultimate Offering's effect to allow another Normal Summon. You still have to tribute. As for Cry Havoc, the OCG rulings say it cannot be used for a Tribute Summon, but there's nothing on point in the TCG rulings. Danny Lilithborne 01:01, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
  • The OCG Ruling we have for "Cry Havoc!" is wrong. Both can be used for Tribute Summons, since Tribute Summons are a type of Normal Summon. --Deus Ex Machina 22:54, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Can my opponent use ultimate offering?

if so then in tag duels can my teammate use ultimate offering?

Same question as above: Can your opponent activate your offering? I just had a discussion with someone mid-duel about this. The card text says "You" not "a player" and we tried to compare it to Mausoleum of the Emperor which explicitly states "both players may." Thanks! 216.125.243.2 (talk) 21:20, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

your opponent cannot activate Ultimate Offering only its controller can.

I don't play tag duels or know that much about them but i would guess that your partner would be able to use its effect when he tags in but will not be able to when he is tagged out. this is because when tagged in he should be its controller and when tagged out you cant even activate cards you set yourself so i believe the person tagged out would not be considered the controller. im sure someone with tag duel knowledge and experience can probably clarify or correct me if i was mistaken.Ozg82889 (talkcontribs) 02:25, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
