If vicious claw is equipped to your opponent monster, will the evil token summoned by your side

If there is only 1 monster on my opponents side of the field, and it attacks, can I retrurn vicious claw to my hand prevent my monster fro destruction even if I cannot apply the "Then, destroy 1 monster, except the one that battled the equipped monster, and inflict 600 damage to your opponent. After that, Special Summon 1 "Evil Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2500/DEF 2500) on your opponent's side of the field." part¿? Killbolt 23:43, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- You can and must, since the effect of "Vicious Claw" is not optional. In this case, you would destroy your own monster which was previously equipped. Note that you only cannot destroy the opponent's batting monster; you can still destroy your own. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 00:06, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
What about royal oppresion, I agree that this card special summons, but will it negate the WHOLE effect (destruction and burn)¿? also can oppression destroy this card on the hand?¿Killbolt 01:55, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
