Forum:Warrior Toolbox, Thoughts?

Alright, so I decided to go ahead and make a deck myself. Now, I want people's thoughts on what could improve it. Here's looking to helpful advivce.

And no, it doesn't have an Extra deck.

First off I ask that you sign your posts with four tildes, so we know who's posting. Tildes are these squiggly things: "~". It would be a great help. Now, generally warrior toolbox is based around abusing warrior lady of the wasteland and Giant Rat. But you seem to not be using rat. That and you have too many monsters. Most of the time you're going to have 3 or 4 monsters in hand while only being able to summon one a turn. I recommend cutting down to a maximum of 18 monsters so as to prevent clumping monsters in your hand. Another reason warrior toolbox has fallen out of favor is because Reinforcement of the Army is limited to one. When this deck was really popular you could run three RotA's and actually "toolbox" your deck, but in this current format its not very possible without the constant use of floaters like Warrior Lady of the Wasteland and Giant Rat. So the question here is, are you willing to break down parts of the deck to rebuild it into a different more consistent deck? Because with rat, solidarity dies, even though its such an awesome card (I love that card). That aside, here are some basic suggestions I can give you to increase consistency without comprising the current structure of the deck: First off is the high monster count. You don't need monsters such as General Raiho because you don't have any other Ice Barriers. Next, you also don't need the Mystic Swordsmen set, because not only are they slow in their usage but Exiled can pop face down monster's for you already. Mystic Swordsmen were from a time when flip effect monsters were a threat, which they really aren't anymore. And sadly, even though I love command knight, she's actually useless if you have the right spell/trap line-up so, either cut her out completely or keep one if you like her. Next, similar to how we took out Mystic Swordsman, take out Grandmaster Sasuke, because Exiled does his job too. You can cut down at least one of the Bushi's because when you have one, he just keep's coming back so there's no need for two, and if you have none, his spot has been replaced with something more offensive like Smashing Ground, which would clear the problem that you would be defending against with the Bushi. Next we take out Freed because tributing for him isn't worth it anymore, though it was back in the day. Now that we've cut about 7-8 cards here's what I suggest replacing them with: 3 Pot of Duality to add consistency and allow more of the toolbox effect, one more smashing ground just to easily remove opposing monsters, 2 Call of the Haunted to toolbox the warriors that have died, and 1-2 Compulsory Evacuation Device to again, help get rid of problematic monsters. This should add more stability to your deck and allow for a greater effectiveness with your toolbox. Hope this helps! :D u5h3ra1i' XX-Blackwinged Karakuri Player 22:03, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
