Forum:What's the ruling on gaining infinite lifepoints

Let's say i built a deck that contains a combo that lets me gain massive lifepoints to the point where it can reach infinity in one turn. Do i have to state to the opponent that i'm using these life points for a purpose? Can't i say something like "the game is pretty much over, i have infinity life points, try to take me down, and as long as i have more cards than you in my library, i will eventually win"? I'm asking the ruling in every kind of environment: casual, tournament, etc... — This unsigned comment was made by Aznxknight (talkcontribs)

You do the combo a few times
Then, if the opponent doesn't do anything, tell them how many times you want to repeat the loop. If they agree and say they can't stop it, then it's all good.
The duel doesn't end there. It's still possible for someone to Deck Out and lose. Either that, or they will surrender. Falzar FZ 00:44, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

He can "take you down" with Exodia and his cousins, Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes, Final Countdown, Destiny Board or milling your deck. He can use Self-Destruct Button too to draw the game. Becouse you can loose despite of you have infinite LP, you must play until somebody lose. But I don´t think that you can ever play a infinite live combo, Konami whould never allow such combo could exist, or, if they make a card that allow such combo, is sure they will ban som of the cards involved. • There is in fact an infinite LP loop combo (actually not "infinite" per se). The Colossal/Rainbow trick is the one. To achieve this the opponent must have a monster that has a higher ATK than "Colossal Fighter". Activate "Rainbow Life" then suicide your own "Colossal Fighter" in the field by attacking the opponent's monster. Just revive Colossal and attack again. "Rainbow Life" will convert any damage you receive as LP. The loop will only work if the opponent didn't respond to your combo (just work it out how). --SilentHero26 10:49, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Try the Ancient Crimson Ape,Treeborn Frog and King Tiger Wanghu combo .It is easier to achieve infinity LP that way.115.135.252.167 13:23, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Oh shit! An infinite LP loop combo! >_< XD Well, by the way, the question was if you win automaticaly, but, unless your opponent surrenders, you don´t win the duel, becouse you can lose the duel with infinite life points XD Elzam 15:19, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Just to clarify that there can't be "infinite Life Points", since you can't use the combo infinite times. You're just saying how many time you want to perform the trick, and then you calculate the Life Points that you'll gain. It can be 1 trillion, or more, but not infinite.
Also, watch out for effects like Reversal Quiz, Yu-Jo Friendship&Unity, Self-Destruct Button, Life Equalizer, ect.
Try to use effects like The Agent of Judgment - Saturn, or something like Fire Princess when you perform the Ancient Crimson Ape or the Flint Lock trick for an instant win.

Another loop is using the card Morale Boost along with Flint and 2 Flint Locks. Activate Flint while Morale Boost is on the field to gain 1000LP. Then you may activate the ability of Flint Lock to push Flint to the other and this will cause Morale Boost to gift you another 1000LP. --LordGeovanni 06:35, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
