Forum:What is the deal with Synchro Summons?

From Yugipedia
Jump to: navigation, search

OK, after what I have understood, the different types of summoning goes like this:

Normal Summon: you summon a monster to battle.

Tribute Summon: you tribute a monster to summon an even stronger monster ("the weak must die, so the strong can live" or something ...)

Ritual Summon: you are performing a ritual and sacrifices monsters, to summon a strong monster.

Fusion Summon: two (or more) monsters fuse together, creating a powerful monster with the best of each monster used in the fusion.

And then comes Synchro Summoning. What really happens when Junk Synchron pulls his trigger? Is it like a radio ("the monsters") trying to connect to a station ("Synchro monster") and needs the right frequency ("the level")?

Any ideas? 213.225.81.46 09:15, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

omg....

you tune something to make the quality better? the tuner has the ability to do that to other monsters!

soooo you get a better monster!

You're Overthinking This

Sometimes things don't have a reason (especialy if they're from Japan). It's just a card game with an awsome anime, I don't see a need to think this far into it.

Translation, I have no freakin' clue either...--Azure Knight-Zeo 14:22, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Think of it like this. You "tune" the "frequencies" (levels) together to get "synchronization". This "resonance" results in an increase in "amplitude" (monster strength), making an all-new monster due to "constructive interference." Well, at least that's how I'm seeing it now, having just studied for a Physics test... --Gadjiltron 14:32, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it has something to do with sound waves/frequency/and all that Junk. (horrible pun lol)--Akiza'sRose66 ~~"Chilling flames engulf this entire world, pitch-dark flower.... Set into bloom!! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Black Rose Dragon! 16:03, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

That made sense with the first couple of tuners, but what about Emissary from Pandemonium or Water Spirit. what do they do?!--Helix-king 17:23, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

It's not over thinking until suspicions of the governments involvement arise.--Helix-king 18:37, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
