Forum:Which should be the state of Dark Armed Dragon?

I think it should get limited or even banned in next list. It's just too powerful now with 3 copies allowed, as having just three dark monsters in the graveyard in a certain moment is sort of easy. By being limited I think it would be more balanced as it won't be that easy to have just 3 dark monsters. A single soul release may make it summonable again if there are more monsters than needed... But I think this way it would be ok.

What do you think?

  • I think it will be semi-limited as a preemptive measure against the abuse of Dark Armed Synchro decks. I hear they are dominating the metagame in Japan, and there's no reason to think the same won't happen in the TCG. Subcontinental86 16:06, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

id like to point out to everypne that DAD is just used in the deck to cear the opponents field and rfp a few cards to then bring them back for game, if you just limit him, players will find an alternative, or a different strategy. you wont be able to stop the deck, or even slow it down, by attacking DAD. horus-lord-of-the-volcanic-underworld

limit can that have control abilities...

for me card like JD, DAD, darius and bestriari are just to easy to use... with book of moon being so practical these days... it lets you think that all the decks in tournaments is just anti-metaing these decks... making some creators of innovative decks realize there is no overpower in yu-gi-oh... well, limited those cards will decrease the math of the whole process and the whole draw engine... for me, why just semi-limit allure of darkness, limit that card so that no possible abuse might happen in the formats... for me, reviving and recycle must be limited and all quick searching cards should be limited also to create a new light for synchro/ tuner monsters to have a spot in tournaments with no abuse...

that card should be in the limited list soon

i think some duelist abuses the effect of dark armed dragon. what if your deck is a dark deck?? it would be easy for you to draw DAD if it's 3.....

DAD is not the problem

DAD is not the problem anymore. In fact, it's Allure of Darkness and Destiny Draw that make this deck so deadly. The ability to draw your entire deck in one turn IS what makes this deck broken, not even DAD. Unfortunately, Upper Deck decided to un-limit DAD's two draw engines. If anything, DAD, Allure, and D. Draw should all be limited to two. I seriously do not understand Upper Deck. Allure and D. Draw are not limited at all but cards like Advanced Ritual Art and D.D. Warrior Lady are limited to one... Just imagine what TeleDad is going to be like with three copies of Psychokinesis...

Destiny Hero - Malicious also needs to go to 2 per deck again. They semi-limited Dark Armed Dragon and unlimited all the support of that deck. Also, Emergency Teleport also seems pretty broken. It might need to go to 2 per deck (it's broken for almost any deck). Animedude3000 14:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Although DAD decks are getting owned left and right by Glad beasts and lightsworns and sometimes even skill drain decks I still think they should keep DAD semi-limited or mabe even limit it although it is aukward to summon unless youve got the exact right deck.marshall565 25/11/08 11:38
