Okay to keep everyone all active and what not let us start telling of some of our dueling stories huh? Either they are very horrible, funny or just plain awesome. So like before, since I started a topic I will try my best to first contribute.

This is basically when I had my plant deck pretty much put together; it was the Friday of the week of CRMS's release. I usually go to the Friday's tourney with a friend of mine. I and my friend were suppose to team duel with these two guys.

Well the guy decides to help my friend with his deck and so while I wait I decide to challenge the other guy, who I might admit posed a bit of a challenge because I saw him, using his water deck, wipe the floor with my friend who uses a horus deck. Now he had switched out decks for whatever reasons and so I now did not know what I was up against. So then anticipation was already beginning to build.

Now first off I do not know if this is a tip off to anyone but I bought myself a white play mat and drew a black rose design which I loved on the front of it, so that might tip them off to me using plants.. But whatever. (Btw, if I see another f-ing playmate with naruto characters on it I am going to yell!) Okay anyways it ends up that after a few rounds this guy has got a crystal beast deck and has pretty much swept my monsters clean of the field so I am in a bit of a bind until that is...

I draw Twilight Rose Knight and was able to then put him and another monster, letting me have enough stars to summon out Black Rose Dragon which I then use her effect to destroy everything on the field. I then put down a Black Garden and a few rounds later I have rose tokens on my side of the field and he only has two face down monsters and the rest are filled with rose tokens… which he forgot to put into defense mode by the way. A lot of people forget about it strangely enough. My heart is pounding because he at any moment could kick my butt with the mass of crystal beasts he has in his spell/trap card zone. When I pull it…

Lonefire Blossom and having a Double Summon summon already in my hand! I use lonefire's effect to get out Gigaplant and then use double summon to gain his gemini effect. I summon lonefire again, get out Tytannial and attack his attack position rose tokens. I forgot to mention though that I had put down a Seed Cannon before all the 'summon happiness' happened and so it is already up to 5 and with that I finished him off with a giant blast of the cannon of seeds! 2500 direct! Ohh it was so sweet… that and to see just how peeved he was after he left only saying 'yeah you should take out that magical mallet' pssh, I do not mind advice but saying that and not giving an explanation is a bit of a dumb thing to do.

At the sneak peek!

  • Well my friend played most of the games at the sneak peek. I myself didn't play too much since I had brought my old warrior deck (the last day I could use it with rotas too! ):) but either way I saw him play quite well. He ran an exodia deck but he did run into somebody who wasn't exactly polite but played a weirdly effective Yubel/montage dragon deck. But what was nice was that my friend had three pieces of exodia (i think it was three..) and had about maybe fifteen - 20 cards in his deck left. Having a face up D hero defender on the field, the opponent drew during their standby phase, my friend then activated two appropriates. When the opponent entered battle phase he played gravity bind to prevent the attacks since most of the opponents monsters were high leveled. On his turn he played one Dark world dealings, discarded Gren-Tactican to destroy one set sp/tr and then drew four more due to Appropriates. He played another dark world dealings and then played Level limit area B, summoning a Defender which was switched to defence. He also set another sp/tr. The next turn the opponent drew for draw step then for one defender, my friend drew 4 and then activated a third appropriate. then the opponent drew one more card for the second defender and my friend drew six cards. needless to say he got exodia that turn. But usually he wins games by drawing every single card in his deck, rather fast I might add for an exodia deck.
  • As for my dueling adventures...well I dislike talking/bragging/anything to do with mentioning anything about my own wins/losses :p I do my best to make decks and actually my favorite part of the game is helping people as much as I can with decks and improving/making new decks myself. Besides most of the ppl who play where I live run metagame decks, though I can say some people make serious mistakes...I knew this one guy who's starting hand was Hand of the Six Samurai, Grandmaster of the Six sam x 2, and two Six sam uniteds along with a scrolls of the six samurai. First of all he played Hand then grandmaster one and tributed it to destroy the opponent's lyla...but he forgot to play uniteds =.=. he then played uniteds and played the second grandmaster. That was Misplay #1...Misplay #2 was after he used scrolls to summon shien...the opponent had one monster left with no back row and he drew another scrolls, using double edged sword technique he revived hand and grandmaster and then attacked stupidly using grandmaster, the opponent had honest. That was a misplay because he could have used hand's effect to tribute herself and then attack for 4600, he did 4600 dmg in an earlier turn so it would have been game then...Of course if he had gotten the first play right he probably should have won that turn or the next rather than losing that match due to lightsworn's swarming and JD.--Takuma. 09:26, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

My best dueling expirience would have to be the time that I went to a local tournament and I was playing in the top 4. The match was me against one of my friends and he was playing a Lightsworn deck against my Tele-Monarch deck. I just barely won but then after our match I found out that we both made it into the top 2. Well I thought that since I had won our last game that I had a pretty good chance of winning this one. I ended up just barely losing this time. Those where the closest, funnest games I'd ever played. Although it kinda stunk when he pulled a Plaguespreader out of the pack he won lol. Lucky Draw

A while back, when Snatch Steel was still legal, I was running a Rock deck. I was dueling a friend in a local tournament who was using a beatdown deck. I had 2450 life points, no cards in my hand, and no cards on the field. He had 6700 life points, no cards in his hand, and no cards on the field. It was my turn. I drew Megarock Dragon and removed 8 Rocks to make his attack 5600 and I attacked leaving him with 1100 points. I ended my turn. He drew and got, of all things, Snatch Steel. The luckiest draw he could have gotten. He beat me with my own Megarock. We still laugh about it today. Mastermind6656 15:51, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
