Forum:Yubel Rush Deck

From Yugipedia

I could use some imput on stuff to add and drop for a Yubel Rush Deck I'm currently working on. I'm on a bit of a budget so outlandishly expensive cards aren't really in my range (unlees you want to give them to me...) (I'm not very good with tables and stuff yet so just bare with me and my list.)

Monsters Yubel x2 Yubel- Terror Incarnate Yubel- The Ultimate Nightmare Mystic Tomato x3 Sangan Man-Eater Bug Samsara Lotus x2 Grave Squirmer Treeborn Frog Mad Reloader Regenerating Rose Legendary Fiend Mask of Darkness Des Feral Imp Snipe Hunter Armageddon Knight x3 Dark Crusader Goblin Black Ops

Spells Dark Eruption Thunder Crash Brain Control Heavy Storm Mystical Space Typhoon Offerings to the Doomed Fires of Doomsday Swords of Revealing Light Monster Reborn Premature Burial Tribute to the Doomed

Traps Damage Condenser Limit Reverse x3 Torrential Tribute Staunch Defender Call of the Earthbound Magic Cylinder Dark Illusion Hate Buster Shift Hidden Book of Spell

What needs fixing?

3 doom shaman and 3 swing of memorys

I'd need two more Dooms, but its possible. Wouldn't that make my deck really large though, any suggestions how to cut it down???

I've done a dozen different builds of Yubel Decks and found the Doom Shaman/Swing combo was good until Limit Rebirth came out. Limit Rebirth really makes the deck faster, but it means getting Yubel to the Graveyard, which I do via Dark Grepher and Armageddon Knight. Then add a Dasher (which you get to the graveyard also) so when you draw Yubel you can Special Summon him and a Destiny Hero - Disk Commander for draw with Limit Rebirth also. Add Damage Condenser for added summon power. Lastly, though I haven't done it myself, add Ribbon of Rebirth so you can suicide Mystic Tomato to summon Yubel, then Ribbon Tomato for tribute. Seeing all of this means you need to run 3 Yubels and 2 TI's, mainly because if they remove from play your TI then your deck is shot. Check out my home page for Yubel Deck ideas. For the most part I can get Yubel on the field by my second turn. Also, the Exiled Forces are for destroying Yubel to get out his second form, same with Torrential and Rageki Break. Lightspeed1967 15:38, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, very helful. I might be able to get a second damge condenser. (ohh and its Limit "Reverse", just so you know). I'd like to cut down the size a bit yet, I could add DH-Dasher and a Phantom of Chaos. Anyone see anything I could remove to make this deck flow better?--Slinky O

I still need 2 more cards (preferably monsters), anyone got good ideas how to fill some of my holes?~~Slinky O

I have been thinking of some cards to use for my side deck and right now I have these cards as my side deck: Hannibal Necromancer Swords of Revealing Light Hidden Book of Spell Non-Fusion area Light-Imprisoning Mirror

Any help on my main deck and side deck would be of great help, please give me your thoughts!!!

Add 2 Exiled Force. Great for either destroying Yubel to get to the next form or your oppnents monsters. Lightspeed1967 18:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Here's my recent updates: I'm going to remove a Staunch Defender and (hopefully) add 2 Dark Grephers and a Foolish Burial. I also have been thinking of adding a Darknight Parshath to the deck. By using the Armageddons, Grephers, and Foolish Burial; there will be plenty of attack boosting dark grave fodder and an additional way of running through my cards with Parshaths draw engine. What do you guys think???Slinky O 21:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Subs

Well, currently I have not been able to aquire the Foolish Burial and Dark Grephers I need, so I'm looking at potential deck replacements. As of now, I'm looking at possibly adding a Field Commander Rahz, a Horn of Heaven, and a Magical Merchant to temporarily replace the 2 Dark Grepher's and Foolish Burial until I get them. What do you guys think? Or should I add those 3 and a Darknight Parshath? I need help so please post me some feedback!Slinky O 23:53, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Go back and re-read all the suggestions... There has to be better cards to replaced the Grephers and Foolish then those three. Lightspeed1967 16:39, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

I still kinda like the Parshath idea. I tested the deck last night with the Magical Merchant/Horn of Heaven/Field-Commander Rahz and it wasn't what I expected, the Magical Merchant really didn't do much (maybe side deck at best) and Horn of heaven never really comes to play. The Field-Commander on the other hand wasn't that bad, he was basically a ROTA with legs and helped me get my Armageddon's, but he is no Dark Grepher. I'm searching again for three sub cards so I can use the deck for now, I have only one Exiled Force that I thought about. I also am considering Begone, Knave! to combo with the second form to do hit-and-runs while TI does its Dark Hole ability. I also am considering any of the following Evil HEro Malicous Edge, Zoma the Spirit, Doomsday Horror, The Beginning of the End, Radiant Mirror Force, Evil Hero Infernal Gainer, Goblin Black Ops, and Des Feral imp. Any help is severely needed to finish my deck. Please help!!!Slinky O 18:35, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Rumaging through my cards and found my original deck from years ago, has some intresting cards for this deck. What about any of these cards: Jinzo, Blowback Dragon, Barrel Dragon, or Don Zaloog? Thanks for any and all help!!!Slinky O 18:38, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Deck Test

I've done one deck test using Darknight Parshath, Field-Commander Rahz, Don Zaloog, and Reinforcement of the Army as my final cards to make my deck a legit 41 cards. The test went smooth, I reccomend all Yubel user's to really consider adding a Darknight Parshath. I froze my opponent with Terror Incarnate and Ultimate Nightmare long enough until I milled my deck of all my monsters, special summoned Parshath with 17 Dark Monsters in the graveyard and finished them off with a 3600 atk. It was beatiful. I'm considering just adding the two Dark Grephers and Foolish burials to my deck without removing my sub cards (I'd be at 44 cards) when I get them because of this test. What do you guys think? Or should I just side deck those cards when it comes time?Slinky O 03:17, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

New card ideas

I think I'm going to remove shift/call of the earthbound/staunch defender/Field-Commander Rahz for 2-3 Begone, Knave!, a second Don Zaloog, and a second Yubel-Terror Incarnate (and the two Dark Grephers I have yet to add). This will free up direct attacks while TI does its dark hole ability and Zaloog is well supported (Dark and Warrior) and has the ability to help mill my opponents deck (discard top 2). This edit I belive will be close to my last, I think the deck is at a point where it flow very well, but will require some good side decking (due to some weakness's I can see). Any and all help on a side deck would be awesome! Thanks again!Slinky O 04:40, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Back to the drawing board

So I officially used my deck at my Hobby League and got smashed. Not so much that the deck did bad, but I had some bad luck and tough opponents (a sweet Lightsworn/Judgement Dragon deck and a full out Zombie RFG and both matchs started with me drawing an entire monster hand(suxx)). So I'm back to the drawing board a bit. Me and another guy at my league decided that I need to get some easy draw cards and mill cards. It was noted that I could get Yubel into my graveyard turn one easily and summon and destroy for form two by tun three with a decent opening hand. We came to the conclusion that Dark Illusion is side deck material and definently getting rid of Field Commander Rahz. We also decided that Dark Grepher is a must for my deck (minimal of two copies) and a second Terror Incarnate is pretty much nessessary. Also we think that Card Trooper would help me mill my Yubel and other Darks to the grave for Darknight Parshath. 3 copies of Degone, Knave! will be added to bounce cards back to my hand while Yubel form 2 is on the field and I'm adding a second Don Zaloog and Reinforcements of the Army and possibly a single copy of Phantom of Chaos. Any other good meta cards or otherwise, please reccommend. I need some patch work fast! Here's my updated deck list for you all to see and edit.

Monsters: 22 Yubel x2 Terror Incarnate Ultimate Nightmare Legendary Fiend Destiny Hero-Dasher Darknight Parshath Armageddon Knight x3 Don Zaloog x2 Dark Crusader x2 Mystic Tomato x3 Grave Squirmer Mad Reloader Phantom of Chaos Sangan Snipe Hunter

Traps: 9 Damage Condenser Limit Reverse x3 Magic Cylinder Raigeki Break Shift Staunch Defender Torrential Tribute

I have a Card Trooper on the way and 3 Begone, Knave!, so what do I remove and what else can I add? I need some help to put the final touches on this deck. Thanks for all help! Slinky O 04:28, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Degone Knave ?? Whats that men?? He's right !! I cannot found Degone Knave in this website

Typo: suppose to be "Begone, Knave!"

just a few ideas here:

take out:

legendary fiend, darknight parshath, don zaloog, mad reloader

they just hinder the strategy, slow it down and take up unnecessary space

Thunder crash will cause yubel to miss the timing (check the rulings on peneten the dark clown, its because it says you "can)

if it was me id also take out:

grave squirmer - too slow, why would your opponent want to attack a card that will help your strategy phantom of chaos - when it hits the grave it loses yubels effect of summoning the next form, and if u lose the ultimate nightmare your whole strategy just blew up in smoke brain control - i think it says "until" the end phase which means that you cant steal your opponents monsters and then tribute them shift - trust me when yubel is on the field your opponent is not going to attack or even enter the battle phase and just wait you out staunch defender magic cylinder - if you have yubel out all the time which should be what is happening you dont even need to run this

i would suggest that you put in a mask of darkness or two to recycle your limit reverse which is by far the most valuable card in a yubel rush deck

exiled force is a must for this deck just to speed up yubels destruction

if you can get your hands on a couple of doom shamans then you can use those to kill of yubel by bring it out and then tributing doom shaman and in the processs killing yubel

try running compulsory evacuation device or interdimensional matter transporter to return or protect your yubels

definitely run grinder golem as he will give your ultimate nightmare something to attack either that or d-hero departed

try card of safe return - get your yubels in the grave early and summon them out from the grave allowing you to draw again

what i have found quite effective is the terror incarnate, sacred pheonix of nepthys loop, every turn you have a dark hole, heavy storm going and your opponent cant really do much about it

alternatively you could just hide behind the terror incarnate and charge up a couple of wave motion cannons and kill your opponent that way

also if you can get your hands on them you might want to consider allure of darkness for some draw power and possibly a burial from the different dimension to return your removed from play yubels

if you want to protect yubel the ultimate nightmare try and run solem judgement, dark bribe, etc... and possibly even a heart of clear water rather than dark illusion, you COULD consider putting in a pitch-black war wolf or jinzo to stop nasty cards like mirror force or sakuretsu armour

i hope some of these ideas help you focus and speed up your deck

good luck YubelFTW 20:00, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

I like some stuff your saying and some I disagree with. I'd like to remove the Shift, Grave Squirmer, and Mad Reloader (and possibly Staunch) because they saw no use when I drew them. Contrary to what you said I want to keep my Don Zaloog, Legendary Fiend and Darknight Parshath. I run more of an aggro Yubel Rush, using Terror Incarnate as a field presence to stop my opponent from playing monsters, then I attack directly and bounce the cards back with Begone, Knave! Legendary Fiend can be summoned by the Mystic Tomato and gives me a backup plan incase someone Prohibitions me or removes all my Yubels from play. The Parshath is the big finally, while Terror Incarnate sits and destroys everything I slowly build my graveyard of Dark Monsters, then I summon (usually special summon) Parshath with a massive attack and take game with it.

Suggestions I liked were the Grinder Golem, Wave-Motion Cannons, Exiled Force, Mask of Darkness, and the Allures (I would if I had them) I side deck Jinzo until I decided it was a bad idea since I rely on a lot of traps (Limit Reverse, Raigeki Break, Damage Condenser, All-Out Attacks, etc... For Brain Control, since it and Yubel are both resolving in the End Phase, the turn player gets to choose order of resolution so you could tribute it first. And I'll check that Thunder Crash ruling.

Thanks for the tips, I'll consider all of them.Slinky O 04:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

So you were right about PoC and Thunder Crash, so they are removed. I think I'm going to add any of these cards: Card Trooper, 3 Begone Knave!, maybe a Soul Rope, Wave-Motion (if I can get them, Exiled Force, Dark Grepher (as many as I get my hands on), hopefully either Dark Bribe or Solemn Judgement, and any other cards that can destroy my Yubel faster. I need some ideas so help me out!Slinky O 16:37, 25 June 2008 (UTC) So What is your Final Deck List !!

I don't know yet, I'm trying to get all this stuff in and on't know where to go with it. I know stuff I have that I'm not taking out, but I need to figure out where to go with all this other ideas. I'm leaning toward adding THose Wave Cannons, but I can't see where it'll fit. I'm also thinking about some other cards like Promethus or other Dark support with good effects to help Yubel grow. I'm just kinda stuck. I'll figure more out when I go to my league tonight, someone will help me out there.Slinky O 16:42, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Begone, Knave! would work well with Goblin Black Ops. Direct damage every turn. LIGHTSPEED1967

Yeah, good thinking. I had one in my deck originally then i took it out, maybe I'll throw it back in. I'd probably need two though... anyway, anyone know of any cards like Tribute to the Doomed or Raigkei Break that can help me destroy Yubel faster? Right now I'm looking at ways to destroy Yubel, some ways to bring it back, and someways to just flat out end the duel quickly. Any help is always appreciated.Slinky O 18:59, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Dark Hole may work, that will clear out the opponent's monsters too. It isn't banned right?

(This is Baccus, I just didn't log in)

Sup Baccus, and its banned, thats why I'm hoping someone knows of cards that I don't that can help me out.Slinky O 20:08, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

killing yubel is one of the hardest things to get going in this deck as few cards allow you to kill your own cards and not have some other effect that would cause yubel to miss the timing, the best ones to use are offerings to the doomed and tribute to the doomed, hammer shot (which is really hard to pull off), shield crush, chaos end purely because of the fact they are spells and you can activate them quickly but others include torrential tribute, raigeki break, needle wall, divie wrath, michizure, two pronged attack, blast with chain, dimise king of armageddon, dark dust spirit, kahkki, guerilla of dark world, newdoria, the wicked eraser, zaborg

as for getting yubel out you could use spear cretin, shallow grave, puppet magic of dark ruler and if you run some RFG cards then put in a DDR or two

and you cant go wrong with a calculator just to flat out kill your opponent as all the yubels are 10+

YubelFTW 20:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok, but would Chthonian Blast work? Since Yubel has 0 points it would clearly be the weakest monster on the field, and you wouldn't take any damage. But I'm not sure if it means she'll miss her timing, since it's not the last thing that happens. Otherwise, you could use Des Counterblow, if you can get rid of it afterwards (it could prove bad later on). Ciao,

Baccus78 21:05, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

The blast would make it miss its timing like TC. Anyway I got good news! I was able to aquire 2 Dark Grephers, a Yubel, a Terror Incarnate, an Exiled Force, a Judgment of Anubis, and a Damage Condenser. My other guy that was getting me the Begone Knave!'s and Card Trooper couldn't make it to get me that stuff, but thats okay for now. Anything else you guys can recommend for my deck?Slinky O 01:33, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

New Deck List

Side Deck: Doom Shaman Hannibal Necromancer Penumbral Soldier Lady Yubel Enemy Controller Fires of Doomsday Lightning Vortex Swords of Revealing Light Damage Condenser Judgment of Anubis Light-Imprisoning Mirror x3 Magic Drain Non-Fusion Area

Also I still have the Rahz sitting around, it really shouldn't be in there, but it was useful every time I've pulled it. Other than that and trying to add Solemns and Knaves, what do you think???Slinky O 04:33, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

I think it looks good. I wonder if my Invasion of Darkness Deck would stand a chance against that thing, what do you think? About that, I think I'll still use that deck even without Dark Ruler, I have added Ryu Kokki in the meantime til' I get Ha Des or another good replacement, like Dark General Freed.

Baccus78 09:28, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

To bad there is no way to duel each other to my knoewledge :( It would've been a good one Slinky O 16:02, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

The Only cards that I question that are still in my deck are as follows: Legendary Fiend, Grave Squirmer, Brain Control, Dark Eruption, Offerings to the Doomed, All-Out Attacks and Staunch Defender. Those are the only iffy cards to me in this deck. Since I want to add 2-3 Begone's and a Card Trooper (and an Allure and a Slolemn if i get them). What should go to make room for those cards, the ones listed or others you may see? Also should I add a MST back in or at least sd it?Slinky O 16:09, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

I'd say that you can't remove Staunch Defender or All-Out Attacks, they're necessary to force the opponent to attack Yubel. Otherwise they'll just keep avoiding Yubel, and she'll practically just be a waste of zones that require tributes every turn. I unfortunately don't know what cards you should remove. Ciao,

Baccus78 18:01, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Also, about we dueling, there's always Game King Online, but it's known to bug for people using Internet Explorer or Opera, as it works best with firefox (this has seriously pissed me off many times).

Baccus78 18:09, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

How do I get it and will I have all my cards right away? I'm willing to try even if it bugs.Slinky O 18:34, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Do you guys think that Card Trooper I was/still going to pick up is really going to help me? I think it could help dump monsters for Parshath and possibly get Yubel in the grave for a limit reverse. And also do you think I should add the Shaman/swing strat? I see it as clutter, but others see it as very useful (maybe its because swing can only be used on the shaman in my decks current build). Also I've been recommended to side deck some D D Survivors for RFG help. And lastly I'd like to be able to clear the backfield a bit better, should I add cards like Ginat Trunade or MST? What do you guys think?Slinky O 16:56, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

So i havent see'n anyone mention the dark creator for the deck it could help you to revive yubel are get tribute monsters so you dont have to kill the first form yourself.

Romanovajax 19:39, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

I like the The Dark Creator idea; except I'd either need a VERY lucky pull, buy lots of boxes, or shell out a lot for it. Any other tweaks anyone see's?Slinky O 05:43, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Was able to get my hands on the ONLY Dark Creator today. Also was able to get a third Dark Grepher, a Byser Shock, 2 Metal Reflect Slimes, 2 Doom Shamans, Grinder Golem,, 3 Begone, Knave!, a Great Maju Garzett, Shadow Priestess of Ohm, and 2 Sacred Pheonix Nehpthys. I'm considering any of these. (probablt not the Ohm or Garzett, but probably the others). What do you guys think?Slinky O 04:49, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Tributing Yubel makes it miss timing so that would not be good. I was thinking Byser Shock because of the three Tomatoes, three Limit Reverses, MR, and Premy. That gives me 8 ways to summon Byser for a back row removal (for the most part) and I've been thinking of Calculator, but I think it detracts from my decks theme. The Slimes have worked pretty well to this point. They are a great stall while I'm waiting for the right card. I'm not sure how much I like the Dark Creator, It can summon my Yubel no doubt and Its easy to get the summoning requirment for me, but I don't know if its worth the space in my deck. And the Knaves have only really back fired once, otherwise it pisses my opponents off when they have to return the carrds to their hand and I get to keep Yubel, my Ultimate Nightmare also can't return because its not battle damage that it inflicts so it sits on the field while my opponent watchs on. Very pleased with results. Any thing else I really need just to figure out that last step or two to make the deeck almost unstoppable.Slinky O 17:38, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Tributing Yubel doesn't bring out the next form, as with Ohm. Lightspeed1967 17:39, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

the 4 cards I'm thinking about adding are Card Trooper, Monster Reincarnation, Foolish Burial, and Threatening Roar. What do you guys think?

Well, I might try Dark Creator as a stand alone deck. It was a good idea but it didn't really seem to fit. I think that Foolish would be good and maybe instead of a Riencarnation or two I could use another Dark Eruption. (They are for my side deck strategy against Book of Life removal on Yubel) and I probably could still use a foolish or two and maybe a Roar or two to help stall. I also think I'll tamper with two Calculators instead of the Zaloogs and add a third Grepher. I like these ideas keep 'em comin'!Slinky O 22:56, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

some of how i tried it, an anon person i am.

Some Ideas

ive been reading not all but i got some of the important bits its true that nobody is stupid enough to attack yubel online and destroying her asoon as you summon her is extremely tricky unless you have the right cards but i did get some ideas in how to get her summoned and destroyed first off you could use the "soul Exchange card" [ select one card on your opponents field and use it for a tribute this turn, also if you use this card you cannot conduct your battle phase] soul exchange will allow you to summon her using your opponents cards also you could either use tokens "reflect slime","Doomsday tokens" and other assortments

next up is getting your oppenent to attack her of course no idiot is gonna attack something damaging himself (unless its an Ai) but there are some odd cards out the millions they give you the one i propose is "battle Mania" [Activate during your opponents battle phase. all your opponents monsters are placed face up attack position and cannot change their battle positions. this turn all your opponents monsters must attack if able] using this card would make your opponent attack

last but not least destroying yubel in her first form now this gets tricky summoning her takes alot out of your hand and field so make sure you thought through summoning her the best way i found destroying her was using ectoplasm [during either yours or your opponents end phase tribute one monster on your/your opponents side of the field that person opponent takes damage equal to half that monsters attack points] other than that i can only think of either simple ways to do it [monster effects etc] but i did come across one particular way every time using DNA Surgery for some reason this card was always in my hand at the start of the duel then i tested this card with several other cards for example "limiter removal"[double the attack points of all machine type monsters on the field during the end phase destroy all cards who was affected by this card] or "Eradicating Aerosol"[Destroys all insect monsters on the field] by using dna surgery you can rush yubel with almost any type of deck i hope this was useful guys
