Forum:Yusei is VERY lucky?

Does anyone else feel that most of yusei's duels were won by the drawing that one card that he need at the end of the duel, and the card that he draws is literally the exact specific card that he or anyone would need to win the duel in the situation he is in. I'm just saying that the duel composition in 5Ds was very shitty. Also, it wasnt just for yusei it was for the other signers too when they r in a tense situation during a duel. Finally, all im saying is that yugi and jaden won most of their duels by strategy and not by drawing that one card that they needed at the end of the duel. I believe yusei wins with pure luck. — This unsigned comment was made by Imhungry4444 (talkcontribs)

Then you are a moron, every character has won by cheating (or drawing the needed card as you say), even Yugi and Jaden did cheat. It will happen in any duel. Siguiendo la luna no llegare lejos, tan lejos como se pueda llegar ♫ 01:57, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

LOL, it's true that every Yu-Gi-Oh! MC is lucksack, but I would say Yusei lucksacks noticeably less than everyone else. Yugi just cheats with Yami every duel and Jaden...well even before Yubel came along, he pretty much lost half his duels. xDD Yusei, if you notice, wins most of his duels by himself. It's only when he's fighting someone with powers of their own that he enlists the Singer's and the Crimson Dragon's help. ^-^ --96.246.0.139 (talk) 02:11, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

Eh - if Yusei had had more time for his own series, he'd have BS'd and lucksacked just as much as Yugi did. It's a shame, in my view - Yusei started off by playing with wholly reasonable cards, and plausible-but-still-cool combos. Then he started bringing out crazy stuff like Majestics and Shooting Quasar Dragon... Runer5h (talkcontribs) 03:06, March 8, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h

Always has and always will. Every protagonist in the series always have "lucky" draws as if their deck was arranged beforehand. But then again, it's an ANIME, so it's all fair like:

  • a card just pop out from your deck without knowing it,
  • your deck always seems to fit with the situation,
  • monsters' effects can oddly counter the opponent with just one stroke,
  • you always draw the cards you need,
  • you have crazy drawing engine cards,
  • you're the hero so you're destined to win (you need to be SURE of this... or else)
  • and finally, and the most insane & imba advantage is... you can make your own cards & rules!

Although some are very ridiculous and near-impossible, we cannot blame them because those who fought them usually has the same advantage also (except that they're the antagonists, they're fated to lose... eventually.) --SilentHero26 (talkcontribs) 10:02, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

My opinion, prep for it: Well Yugi was suppose to top deck good since that was the point, Heart of the cards, friendship, and all that crap. And if you think about it, he was still pretty consistent, only 1 new card (if any) would appear per duel from yugi. Yusei also keeps it real, during normal duels. Those turbo decks get a little weird... like 70 traps weird. But other wise check out his ground decks, not to far from the norm.

Now Jaden, Oh boy, I swear, looking at his deck list, the SOB must've made up like, 10 per duel to win! Look at this crap. Who ever made GX clearly had no set strategy. He ruins strategy's appeal.--Helix-king (talkcontribs) 13:46, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

Who here doesn't have 5 Tuners on the top of their deck whenever they play Shooting Star Dragon? Happens to me all the time :P 66.183.89.180 (talk) 17:26, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • "I play... plot device cards! Cards that you'll never see me use again but fulfill the exact condition for me to win in this duel! Like this one! Clay Wrap!"
  • "What the hell does that do?"
  • "You see it... uh, it.... *reads card* OHHHH... By equipping this onto Clayman and then fusing him, I can destroy Ectoplasma!"

I once made this gag card appropriately named "Deus Ex Machina", which allows the player to instantly win when he's practically on the ropes. Essentially a parody of what every protagonist does in critical battles. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 03:35, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
