Mobius the Frost Monarch (Raid Boss) |
Mobius the Frost Monarch is a Raid Boss in Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel. This is the monster form of "Mobius the Frost Monarch" when Summoned by the Raid Duelist, Ms. Guide. This Raid is preceded by "Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch".
The Anti-Shield and Immunity: Skill Negation Skills are recommended for this Raid.
Mechanics[edit]
Mobius does not normally have any weak points exposed. During each Boss Phase, Mobius will turn to face a random new lane, apply its own effects, attack directly (except on the first turn), and create any objects necessary. Then, Ms. Guide will Summon 1 "Escher the Frost Vassal" with ATK/DEF depending on the Raid Boss's Level to the lane behind Mobius in Defense Position, and prepare 1 of the following Spells/Traps to play, if necessary:
- Blizzard (Level 5 and above only)
- Ice Mirror (Level 6 and above only)
- Drowning Mirror Force (Level 11 and above only)
- The Monarchs Awaken (Level 16 and above only)
Mobius's attacks always inflict 1700 damage. At Level 5, Ms. Guide will prepare "Blizzard" every other turn, starting on the second turn. At Levels 6 through 10, Ms. Guide will prepare 1 Spell/Trap every other turn, starting on the first turn. At Level 11 and above, Ms. Guide will prepare a Spell/Trap every turn. Ms. Guide will not prepare the same Spell/Trap twice in a row, and will not repeat Spells/Traps until after every Spell/Trap has been played once.
Mobius has the following effect, depending on the difficulty:
Difficulty | Effect |
---|---|
Easy (Levels 1-5) |
<In the Boss Phase> Create a shield (hit points: 2) in a direction without one.[a] <At the Start of the Battle Phase> Select 1 monster that has the fewest Skills out of all players' monsters and place them in the "Storage" of a random object. |
Medium (Levels 6-15) |
<In the Boss Phase> Create a shield (hit points: 3) in a direction without one. <At the Start of the Battle Phase> Select the monster(s) with the fewest Skills out of all players' monsters (up to 2) and place them in the "Storage" of a random object. |
Hard (Levels 16-25) |
<In the Boss Phase> Create a shield (hit points: 4) in a direction without one. <At the Start of the Battle Phase> Select the monster(s) with the fewest Skills out of all players' monsters (up to 2) and place them in the "Storage" of a random object. |
- ↑ This effect creates shields in all directions without shields.
Mobius is stunned at the start of the Boss Phase until the start of the next turn after a certain number of shields are destroyed, depending on the Raid Boss's Level. Any active objects, shields, and Raid Monsters will be destroyed when the Raid Boss is stunned. While stunned, the Raid Boss will not attack, apply its effects, Summon monsters, or prepare Spells/Traps, and will have exposed weak points in all 4 lanes.
Objects[edit]
Mobius creates 2 Ice Crystals during the first turn, as well as on the turn after it recovers from a stun, and 1 Ice Crystal every turn otherwise. Ice Crystals have 2 hit points on Easy and Medium difficulty and 3 hit points on Hard difficulty.
Ice Crystals have the following effect:
<In the Boss Phase>
This object gains 1 hit points.
