* This monster may derive its name from the [[Wikipedia:Cairn_Gorm|Cairn Gorm]] (Gaelic: An Càrn Gorm, meaning Blue or Green Hill), a mountain in the Scottish Highlands overlooking Strathspey and the town of Aviemore.
* The yellow mist emerging from Caingorgorm's head appears to be a larval form of "[[ShadollrootsShadoll Roots]]," which is further suppoted supported by his head appearing in its artwork.
