The battle took place at the former tomb of [[Akhenamkhanen (manga)|Akhenamkhanen]]. During the battle, Mahado gave his life and merged with his ka, [[Magus of Illusion]] to become the Dark Magician. Despite Mahado winning, Bakura managed to survive and steal the [[Millennium Ring]].
