I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! in the early 2000s, with [[Starter Deck: Joey]] and I took a break around the middle of the GX Era. I didn't return until early 2015 after discovering that a friend of mine enjoyed the game. I dusted off my old "[[Toon]]" deck in [[Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses]] and got excited for Yu-Gi-Oh! again.
I had a lot of learning to do, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum summonings were all alien to me. So I read the rule book and looked for how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! online and found Dueling Network. I challenged my friend... and was curve stopped stomped by my friend's his "[[Blackwing]]" deck... I was not discouraged and desired to improve my skill and decks through practice, and use of various YugiTubers and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia to improve my deck building technique.
When I found out that the "Toon" archetype was getting support in [[Dragons of Legend 2]] I was stoked! It became the first box of cards I bought myself... And I didn't get a single "[[Toon Kingdom]]"!
