Summary
{{Chapter summary"Iron Golem Gorogon" uses his special attack, "Rolling Crush", and destroys "Bomb Lizard" and "Lizard Dragon". Yugi continues to struggle against cheers; his Dungeon Master lost one life, but he beat two of Ryuji'screatures. Ryuji seems smiles, thinking that Yugi's not doing too badly; he's never played D.D.M in his life and he's already using advanced tactics like the "delayed dimension". Yugi states that the Millennium Puzzle is like his second heart, and he won't let Ryuji have it. As he and Ryuji stare one another down, Ryuji chuckles, admitting that the first time he saw Yugi he thought he was a timid little nerd, but he takes that back; he's not surprised that Yugi solved the Millennium Puzzle. Yugi wonders why Ryuji is after the Millennium Puzzle. He thinks that Ryuji said that his father and Yugi's grandpa fought over the Millennium Puzzle long ago, and his grandpa won. He wonders if Ryuji is trying to take revenge for his father. Ryuji thinks that of course revenge is a part of it, and Yugi and his grandfather will pay for what they did to Ryuji's father, but more than that, Ryuji wants to beat Yugi, the one who solved the Millennium Puzzle. His heart is set on this, and he will win this battle and become the new heir to the legend. He tells Yugi that it's his turn, and Yugi silently accepts his challenge. He draws a new dice, thinking that he won't lose. He surveys his field, thinking that as long as "Gorogon" remains guarding, the enemy shouldn't be able to attack his Dungeon Master, but he can't win the game just by defending, he has to get to Ryuji's side of the Dungeon and reach his Dungeon Master. He rolls his dice, getting an Attack Crest and two Summon Crests. He celebrates his Summon, and he declares "Dimension Dice", summoning "Duker of Twin Swords". He notes that he isn't ready to attack yet, so he'll save his Attack Crests for later in his Crest Pool. Ryuji agrees; Yugi doesn't have to use the Crests on the turn he summons a creature; once it's stored in his Crest Pool, it can be used at any time. <!--@"Duker of Twin Swords" counterattacks, destroying "Flame Armor Dragon".-->He declares his turn and rolls, getting an Attack Crest and two Summon Crests just as Yugi did. He declares "Dimension Dice", summoning the Level 3 "Flame Armor Dragon". He thinks that perhaps he'll use some Attack Crests from his Crest Pool and have completely cornered "Flame Armor Dragon" attack on this turn (his Crest Pool contains three Movement Crests, two Magic and Trap Crests, and one Attack Crest). Yugi thinks that Ryuji can go ahead and try, but his creature won't just curl up and die (his Crest Pool contains three Movement Crests, and two Magic, Trap, and Attack Crests). Ryuji uses two Movement Crests and an Attack Crest, ordering his "Flame Armor Dragon" to advance two spaces and attack the enemy. It attacks with "Dragon Sword", but Yugi uses two Attack Crests of his own to activate the special power of "Duker of Twin Swords", multiplying its ATK by the number of Crests used to 720 and counterattacking with "Twin Sword Renzokugiri", destroying the "Armor Dragon".  <!--@Ryuji reveals his strategy; cutting off Yugi's dungeon.-->Yugi celebrates beating Ryuji's creature, but Ryuji laughs, congratulating Yugi on destroying "Flame Armor Dragon", but he knew how many Crests Yugi had saved up, and he knew that his creature would lose. He explains that this game isn't just decided by monster battles, and he tells Yugi to take a look at the board. Yugi looks down, and he realizes in horror what Ryuji means. When he places a dice on his field to summon a creature, he has to place it so that it connects to one of his own dungeon dice corridors, but Ryuji's dungeon dice are cutting off his path, and there's hardly any room left for him to play any dice. Ryuji agrees that Yugi only has enough room to summon a few more creatures, and that's if he's lucky. When you split the dice open, the cube of a six-sided die fits on a 3x4 grid, and when one calls "Dimension Dice", it can be opened in one of 30 possible ways. One of the winning strategies in the game is to place one's dice on the board like a puzzle in the most advantageous way. If you do it right, your creatures get a clear path to the enemy, and the enemy doesn't have room to summon creatures to fight back. But Yugi can still win if he blocks can reach Ryuij's Dungeon Master and defeat all the creatures in his way. Yugi thinks that it's impossible since Ryuji has too many creatures, and Yugi doesn't stand a chance without summoning more. <!--@Ryuji draws a rare black die.-->Ryuji declares his turn, drawing a black dice. He smiles, telling Yugito look at it. It's what's pathknown as a "rare black"; a rare die equipped with a special ability even by the standards of black dice. The red star is a sign of its power. And on his next turn, he'll draw another rare black. When two rare blacks come together, a deadly combo will begin, so Yugi had better get ready. Yugi muses on the deadly combo as Ryuji rolls his dice, getting two Summon Crests - including the rare black - and a Magic Crest. He sets up the rare black dice near his Dungeon Master, but and Yugi takes advantage wonders why; isn't Ryuji going to use it to attack? Ryuji declares "Dimension Rare Black", summoning the Level 2 "Dark Eye Stalker". A swirling symbol is stamped on one space of the die, and Yugi thinks that he's never seen such a crest before. Ryuji explains that it is a Warp Crest; each rare black die has a special Crest hidden on the inside, and this crest will come into play when two rare blacks are played on the field. One will become an entrance and the other an exit, and he'll be able to warp in an instant. Yugi gets it; when there are two Warp Crests on the board, Ryuji's creatures will be able to teleport between them. He thinks that there's still one space left in his territory where he can play the dimension dice, and Ryujithinks that he left that one corner open so he could place his rare black there and teleport his army in an instant. If this rare black combo works, his victory is assured.  <!--@Yugi's rare black-summoned "Black Ninja" swiftly emerges from the Warp Crest.-->But Yugi smiles, commenting that Ryuji overlooked one thing. Ryuji wonders what it is, and Yugi holds out his hand, explaining that he has a rare black die too. Ryuji is floored, wondering how Yugi has one as Yugi declares his turn and rolls his dice, getting two Summon Crests - including his own rare black die - and an Attack Crest. He dimensions his rare black dice, but his creature immediately jumps into the Warp Crest the instant it appears. Ryuji wonders in shock if it warped, and turns then Yugi's "Black Ninja" appears at the warp crest on the tablesother end, tossing four shuriken to destroy "Dark Eye Stalker". Yugi cheers that now he's in Ryuji's territory.}}
