Unofficial terminology
Anti-support is an unofficial term for an interaction in which a card specifically affects cards with a particular property used in some way harmful to the player who possessTCGes the anti-supported card; this name is to contrast with community for support, which describes effects ing interactions that are beneficial to that card's harm the possessor. For example, "System Down" banishes all Machine monsters from of the opponent's field and Graveyard, thus it anti-supports Machine monsters. Anti-support can be applied to archetypes, Attributes, Types, Levels, Ranks, ATK, DEF, and other groups of cards. Anti-support is not just limited to affected card effects; anti-support can also occur in activation requirements (e.g. "Ally of Justice Core Destroyer"), materials (e.g. "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon"), conditions (e.g. "Blackwing - Breeze the Zephyr"), and Summoning procedures (e.g. "Ally of Justice Cosmic Gateway"). There Because there is no strict definition of what counts as being harmful to a player, as virtually every negative effect could be construed as beneficial or harmful in some circumstance. For example, "System Down" interacts with an opponent's "Number C1: Numeron Chaos Gate Sunya" in a way that is beneficial to the opponent. Generally, a card is considered anti-support if it can be considered to be harmful under normal circumstances. For example, decreasing ATK/DEF is considered anti-support while increasing ATK/DEF is considered support. A single effect can be considered both support and anti-support if it can be used in both ways (e.g. "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" is considered both support and anti-support for Machine monsters). field-unique and side-unique effects (effect that require that there be only 1 monster with a particular property on the field or supports are identified subjectively on a side of the field), such the effects of "Earthbound Immortal" and "Kaiju" monsters, are considered anticase-support. Exclusions, such as the Xyz Materials for "Number F0: Utopic Future" excluding "Number" monsters or "Ravenous Vendread" excluding "Vendread Scavenger", are not considered anti-support. ==Examples==<!-- this is not by any means meant to be exhaustive; we don't need e.g. one example per Type -->* "Goblin Pothole Squad" provides anti-support for the "Trap Hole" archetype.* "Ally of Justice" monsters provide anti-support for LIGHT monsters.* "Last Day of Witch" provides anti-support for Spellcaster-Type monsters.* "Ritual Sealing" provides anti-support for Ritual Monsters.* "White Hole" provides anti-support for "Dark Hole"case basis.
