* In the four-way Duel that determined who will Duel who in the [[Battle City ]] Finals, [[Marik Ishtar|Marik ]] Summoned this card in [[Defense Position]] on his opening turn. In his next turn, he attacked [[SetoKaiba|Kaiba's ]] "[[Vorse Raider]] " with it. Since "[[Vorse Raider]] " had more [[ATK]], "[[Newdoria]] " was destroyed. This, however, activated its effect, allowing Marik to destroy "[[Vorse Raider]]".
