That tip doesn't make sense
* If you have at least one "[[Cyber Dragon]]" in your [[Deck]], it is probably wise to throw this card into your [[Extra Deck]] as general anti-[[Machine]] support, since doing so will not disturb the balance of cards in your [[Deck]]. As well, even non-Machine decks often use "Cyber Dragon", so you can use this card to remove it from the field as long as there is another face-up Machine on either side of the field.
* You can summon Summon "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" even if you don't have a "Cyber Dragon" or any Machines on your side of the field. If your opponent has the necessary [[Fusion Material Monsters]], you can send them to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card.
* Use "[[DNA Surgery]]" to pull out "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" easier while clearing your opponent's field for attacks. Reaching up to 10000 ATK.
** Consider using "[[Level Eater]]" on "Cyber Dragon" to gain another 1000 Attack.
* This card acts as a powerful counter-card against the ever-so-popular "Cyber Dragon", as it can be used to remove the "Cyber Dragon" and other Machine-Type monsters your opponent [[control]]s, while summoning Summoning a monster with at least 2000 [[ATK]] to your [[Field]].
* You can use "[[Proto-Cyber Dragon]]" or "[[Cyber Dragon Zwei]]" as a substitute for the [[Fusion Summon]] of this card.
* It is important to note that you will not be able to summon "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" while "[[Macro Cosmos]]", "[[Dimensional Fissure]]", or a similar card is on the field since it requires monsters to be sent to the [[Graveyard]].
* Use "[[Creature Swap]]" to take control of your opponent's non-Machine-Type monster, while giving him control of your "Cyber Dragon" or other Machine-Type monster. Then use the monster you just gave away as fusion material Fusion Material for this card.* If your opponent use "[[Armityle the Chaos Phantom]]", equip this card with "[[Mist Body]]"
* This card works well in decks that do not feature the "Cyber Dragon" style, but are packed with [[Machine]]-[[Type]] Monsters. Good examples are: Decks, even if they're not focused on "Cyber Dragon" monsters, such as "[[Genex]]", "[[Ally of Justice|Allies of Justice]]", "[[Morphtronic]]s" and "[[Vehicroidroid]]s".
* [[Special Summon]] "Cyber Dragon", then [[Normal Summon]] another [[Machine]]-[[Type]] monster, and use the 2 for this card; this is a somewhat easy way to get a high Level monster for a high [[Rank]] [[Xyz Monster]].
