Why do we have a separate article for Doppelganger's apparition on Yu-Gi-Oh! GX? Technically, it has the same effect. It was just retroactively added a new activation cost, but its still the same card. --Van Ludwig 22:24, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I agree, I agree! Let's delete the GX version! -- Huajun Chen 18:25, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. The effect is different and the picture on the card is not the same. Why not call the GX one Doppelganger and the other one Mimicat because that is what it is called in Duelist of Roses. Then we make a trivia section or something for it. Big Boss 0 18:14, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Which Cards Can Be Mimiced?[edit]

The GX Anime Card Lore on Doppelganger said "...Add 1 monster from your opponent's Graveyard...etc", so I changed it to "...Add 1 Spell Card from your opponent's Graveyard...etc" according to the Season Two Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Episode 092 - Duel for Hire (Triangle Duel) when Pegasus used Doppelganger to add Ancient Gear Explosive (a Spell Card) from Crowler's Graveyard to his -Pegasus's- hand. Is this an accurate edit? -- Melik el-Al'ab 14:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry but I just found out that although the card Doppelganger mimiced was indeed a Spell Card (Ancient Gear Explosive), Pegasus in fact did not specify the type of card that Doppelganger can take from the opponent's Graveyard, quoting: "Now I can take a card from your grave and add it to my hand!". Because of this, I changed the lore once more from "Add 1 Spell card..." to "Add 1 card..." without specification. Also considering Doppelganger's use in past episodes, it is an acceptable fact that Doppelgnager can indeed mimic any type of card. (Up to now, if you add up all Doppelganger's appearances in the Anime, he has indeed mimiced all 3 types once each, Summoned Skull (Monster), Ancient Gear Explosive (Spell), and Crush Card Virus (Trap)) -- Melik el-Al'ab 21:29, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
