Rename??

Are we going to actually discuss whether a card, that was named in the anime as it is currently labeled, needs to be renamed? PhotonLegion95 (talk • contribs) 11:59, June 1, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, currently, Koanmi never renamed a card appeared in DM and then released years after... just look at Celestial Sword - Eatos, even though it is a Noble Arms card, it wasn't renamed. They renamed "Guardian Treasure" to "Guarded Treasure"... but that was only to prevent "Arsenal Summoner" from searching it. I don't see Konami TCG renaming this, unless they have a "Paladin of" archetype planned right now. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 14:19, June 1, 2015 (UTC)

The reason I suggest a name change because of this card has its name changed upon its released in OCG, which I believe it is Konami intention to have a "Paladin of" series/archetype connected. --Blackwings0605 (talk) 00:49, June 2, 2015 (UTC)

There are many different kanjis for "Dark" that they can choose to make it different from "Paladin of the Cursed Dragon" but still keep the same meaning. Instead, they went with the direction to replace the kanji with darkness element ("闇") with black ("黒") and change the furigana (forced reading) from "Dark" to "Black". In my opinion, the only reason that Konami has to go through all the troubles with that name change is that they really want to make it connected to "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" and possibility "Paladin of" archetype planned in the future. --Blackwings0605 (talk) 15:57, June 3, 2015 (UTC)

Doesn't change that this card has an Official Name, from an Official Source, and no english source to suggest it's going to get changed, unlike with Guarded Treasure. If we can't rename the Manga stuff with more accurate names, because Viz are class as an Official Source, then there really isn't a discussion to be had here. And, last I checked, article changes based on speculation, which is exactly what this is, isn't permitted either. PhotonLegion95 (talk • contribs) 16:09, June 3, 2015 (UTC)
