Card Rulings talk:Token Monster[edit]

If I'm understanding this right, a token monster can't be used to pay the cost of the 2nd effect of Delta Tri, correct? If it can be, that would be a pretty broken combo in a Gradius Games deck. NoCards (talkcontribs) 18:26, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Ruling questions should be asked on Forum:Yu-Gi-Oh! Ruling Queries. The Card Rulings talk pages are for discussing changes/improvements to the existing article. (I know that we haven't enforced this in the past, but we are now >.> You're not in trouble or anything.)

For your question, "Delta Tri"'s second effect has no cost - the monster is returned to the Deck when the effect resolves - so you can target a Token Monster. However, if the monster isn't returned to the Deck, then you don't draw a card. So, the Token Monster just disappears, and you don't draw anything. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 14:37, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
