Card Rulings:Machina Gearframe[edit]
Like 99% of all monsters, "Machina Gearframe" doesn't need to remain face-up on the field for its effect to resolve. If your opponent uses "Bottomless Trap Hole", then the effect still resolves properly, and you still search.
